pads and no pads? Ok so our new puppy was trained to go on the puppy pads, and Ive seen her go to a pad and pee on it. But other times she will run around and sit pee. ???? Is she confused?? I can't train her with the crate all day thing. I wont be able to go through that. She has a playpen, but I feel so bad leaving her in it and doing my business. We have a house, and it's impossible to watch her every move! she also wont poop on the pads.. Any advice??? |
we use potty training spray on the pad. Simple Solution Puppy Training Aid - Training & Behavior - PetSmart |

So needless to say it has helped ALOT. She still has accidents, and my cousin pulls out her old bathroom rugs when she knows we are coming to visit so it's working pretty good. |
Spray works!! Quote:
OH and a cute thing he does - When the puppy pad is tooo dirty for him he will fold it over in half (like WE do when we clean up and put a new one down...) This boy is intelligent! |

OMG I would probably die of laughter if I saw that. That is so adorable!! |
My Fergie does the same thing. She goes on her pads when she feels like it. I will get some of the spray too. |
I have successfully trained our brand new older girl to use the potty pads. She is WONDERFUL !!! I thought it would be in her best interest because she would freeze her tushie off in the winter if she had to go outside. I am looking forward to training her brand new puppy when the time comes. :D All the BEST to you and CONGRATULATIONS on your NEW YORKIE !!!!! |
Does the spray work for poop too? |
PLace more then one pad down. If you see your pup pee in a certain spot all the time, then be sure to have a pad down. Also, Yorkie won't always use the same pad to poop on where they pee, be prepared for this. I have had three-4 pads down a time. Just make sure you have more then one down on the floor.:aimeeyork AND they are not close to where your puppy eats, drinks. :aimeeyork |
my yorkie goes on the potty pads well. She will pee on them all the time. Most of the time she will poop on them but at times she misses. Now if she is lose in my basement she will go on the floor. I cant figure this one out? |
