Barking Problems Hi all, So I've been working full time since I've gotten Izzy and I can't take a day off. Last week she was fine all week with out barking (from what I know). I did go home during my lunch time to check on her and spend sometime with her. Today I get back and I have a note on my door from my landlord saying that Izzy had been barking for over an hour. She's in an X-pen in the kitchen since I don't trust her to have the whole apartment. She has treats, food, water, toys, her bed and pee pad in there with her. What do I do about barking?? Is there anything that I can do.. I feel bad, but I feel I can't do anything to stop it.. ya know!? Any one face this or have any advice. I know if I get a few notices then we can't have her there anymore.. We still have another year there too. |
Try the PetSafe ultrasonic bark control device they sell at PetSmart (and other pet stores). It takes a 9V battery and it should help to keep barking to a minimum when you aren't there to do it. It's not very expensive, so it might be worth a shot: Dog Bark Control: PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark Control System No-Bark Collars The batteries don't last nearly as long as the packaging says, though. I found you have to change them every couple of weeks. |
That seems like really good idea and its a lot cheaper then anything I've seen. |
I was wondering how Izzy was doing.... maybe you should get her a friend??? :D I assume she is just lonely.... |
she has toby.. ha.. she's been doing better. |
I cover up my yorkie cage with a sheet. that calms him down. But when I don't cover the cage up when he's in it, he barks like crazy. That will comfort him, it's like his littlr den. You can also buy cage cover's at petco. Good luck |
