What age do I start teaching tricks? Hi, I'm new at yorkietalk. I just got my first Yorkie. His name is Teeny Tiny Toby. Toby for short. He is almost 4 months old. Is he old enough to start learning Sit, Stay, etc. He does play fetch. Scoop |
Yep, he's old enough. :) Just don't try to introduce too many too fast. I bet he surprises you just how quickly he catches on too. |
Yes, he's old enough. Just don't try to do too many at first, he may get overwhelmed. Cheerios make great training treats! Good luck and have fun!:) |
I started teaching my puppy tricks two days after he came home, he was 9 weeks then. We did two tricks a day, he is almost fifteen weeks and he can do sit, stay, stand, fix your hair, spin, crawl, give paw, high five, and speak. |
