Rosie will not poop on the same pad she pees on. When I started training her She peed real well on it but would poop all the way across the kitchen. I would take her poo to the pad and she continued to poo across the kitchen. So, I thought, OK.... I will move the pad over there. Well, she would poop on the pad that I moved but went back to peeing where I had originally had her peepee pad. SO, she taught me that she just wanted two seperate pads far away from each other for each thing. Has worked like a charm! |
I'll need to try that with Suzi! She is doing the exact same thing ! :) |
Thats definitely an excellent tip! If can find a pee pad that Chewie wont turn to dust or completely ignore...I just might try this....{sigh} |
timmy never poops on his pad. ever!! and if im in the room he wont pee on his pad...he will use the living room. its really aggrivating. |

Have you tried using washable pads? They don't shred them like the paper ones. |
Darcy won't poop on her pad, I try and take her outside regularly in the garden to go, and 90% of the time we don't have any accidents. |
London is the exact same way. Apparently this is a common yorkie thing LOL. I had to put 2 pads out and "hide" 1 under a chair for her to poop on. She likes to go in private, but lately she has been holding it all day and going in her crate at night. I'm out of ideas. |
Must really be a yorkie thing, mine does it too... Or he just like to see mommy do a little extra work. :idontknow |
I have the same issue. Gracie won't go in her ex-pen, but Holly will. With Gracie, I finally decided "if you can't beat em, join em" and put a pad where she likes to pooh. She pretty much only goes there. She does like to spin and will miss the pad quite often, but at least she is in the general vicinity. Holly will go poop ANYWHERE. I put her pooh on the pad and show her, and the next few times she will pooh on the pad. Then, it is like she was never introduced to the concept and she will go wherever again! I am so close to trying to transition them to go outside. |
My archie has poop issues too!! Goes on the pad to pee every time but for the poop he goes in the the middle of the kitchen about once a week, I am going to try the 2 pad idea myself!! |
