I Need Help!! I have a 8wk old girl Yorkie and the pottying training is driving me crazy. She will go on her pee pad when she has to pee. She will also go outside and pee. But it when it comes to #2 she will do it on the carpet, kitchen floor, hallway. She will go outside sometimes I guess when she feels like it but most of the time she is running and playing. So what should I do? How can get her to get her job done inside in the right place?:aimeeyork D&L Reptiles House | Speciallizing In Boa Constrictor Morph's also in Ball Python's |
keep watching her like a hawk...and stop her every time she is pooping in the house!!! lol good luck repitition is the key, so start catching her while she is pooping or a little before and get a routine going that will make her want to go out side. also pay attention to when she poops. this will help you be able to predict when she will need to use the bathroom...like how many hours after eating, napping, play time, everything you have to account for! good luck! |
like hotpod said waych like a hawk. I am impressed she is peeing on pads and outside at 8 weeks!! |
When I was training Pookie, who is now 5 months, I watched him constantly. Closed off bathrooms, bedrooms, etc., so he would have to stay where I could see him. Anytime I saw him with his nose to the ground, and snooping around, I took him out. Oh yeah, he's gonna screw up your carpet good. But you'll get there, just be patient. Right now, he doesn't know he's gotta go, you're gonna have to know! |
