Indoor potty training equipment???? I will be getting my first dog in about three weeks. She will be about 16 weeks old and, I believe, on her way to being trained to go potty on a pee pad. I want to continue her training so that she will go inside, like a cat (until now, I have been a cat person). What is the best equipment for all this? I have been researching pee pads, plastic trays that use pee pad inserts, doggy litter boxes etc. I want to get something that works well when I am at home, does not have much odor, maximizes the likelihood that the pee and poop land where it is supposed to, is not unsightly, etc. But I also plan on traveling with my little girl, and would like her to go in airport rest rooms and hotel rooms, etc. Pee pads seem to be the most convenient for this purpose. If I decide on something like a doggy litter box at home, will this confuse her when we traveel so she won't want to go on a pee pad in strange surroundings? Help What supplies and equipment should I buy for her training and ongoing use? |
I use the washable potty pads. The ones I make have cute designs that mask the fact that they have been used. They are very absorbent and save money. That is my recommendation. If I were traveling I would probably use the disposables for airports, etc. so that I could just throw them away. Hope this helps. |
I've always used the disposable potty pads. They are so much easier to travel with, use in motels or another persons house. I would "never leave home without them". :D |
We have always used the disposable pee pads. But, I have just ordered some washable pads from Little Bit, and I can't wait to try them out. It gets very expensive using the disposable ones. |
