what everyone think? I am going to start using belly bands to assist me in potty breaking my little guy. he isnt marking just the sometimes I dont always have an eagle eye on him. Was wondering what anyone's opinion of this idea is? |
My personal advice is just to remember what they are really "for". They most likely won't help to actually train, unless your little one just refuses to pee when it's on. But in our house, they were good to aleviate some of the stress in the people when training. ;) The best way to train is to watch like a hawk. But even i know that's not 100% possible all the time. So the belly bands can help in a pinch. I just didn't depend on them. Also, when accidents do occur some people in our house (my hubby) get upset and it stresses us all out. So used with good purpose, it can avoid some of the stress of accidents. Good Luck!! :) |
Thanks No one here is upset over accidents and just clean them up and move on. I was thinking it might help some thats all, Sometimes I feel like I do nothing but watch him all day and get nothing else done. I am crating but sometimes feel guilty for putting him in there when I am home just have to do other stuff.. He does great at night its awesome. |

I remember those days of having to crate the babies because we really "had" to do real world stuff (versus the yorkie world stuff I'd rather be doing!). :) |
I am also thinking of using these on my Scooter when he is out of his room. He is only 12 weeks old and has ocassional accidents in the living room and I can deal with that. BUT he needs heart surgery and today we start him on a diuretic (water pill) which will make him pee more and possibly not be able to hold it until he gets to his pee-pads. He will get his medicine in the morning and it should wear off by noon, so he won't have to wear it all day. It's worth a try. I'll keep things posted and let you know how it goes. |
