I tried a coupler and had the same problem with one running and one dawdling. So it is back to leashes and I have learned to spin and jump rope at the same time...lol |
I use a coupler,, to walk 2 of them together,, but now with 3,, well,, i've not walked all 3 at once yet,, not to just get out and walk, i do have a 3 way,, but have yet to try it,, but 2 of mine on a coupler works very well,, but really like the couplers that are ADJUSTABLE,, |
We take all 7 at one time I take 4 and hubby or the boys will take the other 3..Mine are all on seperate leashes and have learned to walk together. |
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Jeri Look at your crew!! |
I walk two (not Yorkies) using a coupler that is made...kind of like with bungee cord material?....it works great with two that are similar weight, as it gives a little. The advantage of this material is that when they pull, they basically pull each other....so if one has a tendency to sit down when they're not supposed to, the other will pull them along (gently). I love it, because one of mine likes to stop and watch EVERYTHING. The other keeps him moving. :) |

Coupler I use a coupler for mine. When I had 3 I used 2 one a coupler and the 3rd on her own leash. They always got tangled up though, lol. For 2 I suggest the coupler. It is surprising how they will leard to stay in step with each other. Sue 7 Cricket :aimeeyork |
Thanks everyone! I went ahead and ordered a coupler.. if it doesn't work out, I'll just walk them on separate leashes! I'm hoping it does work out though, it'd just make my life a whole lot easier. |
"Old man" vs. the "puppy" walking... This is a good post. I have been walking my 8 yr old westie and 5 mo old yorkie and it's hillarious! Rascal (westie) walks very nicely healing to my left and Trixie (yorkie pup) energetically runs circles around us both. She's over here then there, and then, "oh, lets go look at that guys!" I was wondering if I got a coupler if it would help me train her to heal, or if it would just drive Rascal nuts, as she a busy one. Worth a try, right? |
