Please just go on the pad!! My Bella is 17 months old (seems like yesterday I got her) but...she has been trained to go on her pee pads...which seems also like yesterday I was chasing her around with stain remover bottle picking up pee stains. BUT she WILL NOT poop on her pad. She poops starting on the pad and walks around until she finishes. So it ends up wherever it ends up. PLEASE help with any ideas. It's getting old...and when she is sick with diarrhea it is awful!!!!!!! Any IDEAS? |
Just wanted to send a hug. It's frustrating as hell. Even when I have zoey outside pottying she moves around and around... Hope someone has a suggestion for you. |
Do you have the pad in a tray or litter box? We have one for our dog..it works great for keeping him on the pad. |
I have heard/read that this is a common Yorkie thing to do. Franklin almost always walks around while he poops. It is frustrating but I don't have a solution for you. Just wanted to wish you good luck. Let me know if you figure something out. :) |
Are you laying out more than one pad? I lay out 3 on one side of the kitchen, 3-4 on the other side. 99% of the time she poops on the pads. On the other hand, she almost always pees on the kitchen floor. Cant figure out the pads are for urine, even though they are suppossedly scented to attract the dog to pee there  |

Lucy is a "walking pooper"- puts on alot of miles that way. She can also walk/pee. She is usually in too much of a hurry to stand in one place. But she goes outside, so it's no big deal. The thing i've noticed is that if something distracts her (a leaf blowing, the neighbor's sump pump going off, the wind blowing) she needs to be DONE with her business so she can go investigate immediately. Is there something where your pee pads are located that's making her need to finish up quickly? ie, a window that needs looking out of, a scary appliance that could go off at any minute (like a loud dishwasher?) Just trying to think of things. Could you locate the pee pads in a small room (like a laundry room) so the walking area is cut down? Teresa |
