Citronella Anti-Bark Collar? I posted this under "products wanted" but I wanted to get some opinions before I bought it. Has anyone ever used one before? I'm wanting it for Baby who is about 6-7lbs. She has such an annoying, piercing bark. I went to the pet store today to price them and was very shocked on how expensive they are. |
Layla's babysitter has a labradoodle puppy (well.. over a year old now i guess) and they used this on her and it worked VERY well. They are followers of Caesar Milan and he says you have to use it for at leats 10 hours of the day for it to be effective. it DEFINITLY worked for their pup! |
I just found one on this site and it's much less then I found today. They were $75 in the pet sores and on this site they are $39.95 http://www.thepamperedpetmart.com/Me...ct_code=CNATDC |
I have heard good things about them but it did NOT work for Ellie. I put it on her when I got the broom out (one of her triggers). It almost seemed like she thought the broom was spraying her, so she barked at it more. At the end of it all I had a dog that smelled like citronella who was worn out.   It is worth a try but I'm glad ours was returnable. |
OP- thanks for posting this, i've been wondering about this too... :D |
It helped with Chloe. She doesn't BARK but she does mumble. |
I have a spray collar for Remy as I have a neighbour that complained to the city about Remys barking. It has worked very well at getting the barking down to a managable level.I got one called spray commander ,it has a remote so I can choose when to correct her , Eileen |
Oh no:eek: I would never use those for a 6 or 7 lb dog:animal36 It would prob give it a heart attack!:( Think they are more used for a Rottweiler or a large dog that is out of control. |
Remy is 5 lb. ..it didnt give her a heart attack  Eileen |
