Crate & other training issues A little info on us. This is my first puppy ever. She is 13 weeks old, and she's a Yorkie Mix (Don't know what she's mix with). She been with us for 5 weeks. This doesn't make sense to me. Sadie is being kept in the laundry for the time being. Well, I have her crate in there, but she cry when she not in it and doesn't cry when she's lock in it... What's up with this? And another issues is that she pees on her potty pad, but then tears it up. If I'm home she's great about letting me know she has to go potty, and we go outside. The potty pads is out for her when I leave the house or at night, but she's so far doing good about sleeping all night. |

Hi and welcome, she looks Chi Yorkie mix and is quite a cutie:D She cries to go in the crate and does not cry when in it? Hummm maybe the breeder had her in the carte from a tiny baby and that is all she knows as he safe zone? Just a guess:cool: Give her chew things and toys and that will stop her probably from tearing up stuff. |

She has chew things and toys. But I did get a potty pad with baking soda in it... yet she didn't chew that one up, today. I placed another down for tonight. So we'll see if that's the problem. Good figure, Miss Spoiled only likes the scented one and most $$ ones (only a $0.12 extra each). |

Are you taking her outside to wee and poo? |
Have you considered using the washable Pooch Pads? This might help to prevent the tearing that they do with paper ones. |
Yes, I do take her outside to go potty. The potty pads are for when I leave the house for 2-6 hours. I'm now using Arm n' Hammer baking soda scented potty pads, and she won't tear these up. No, I haven't considered washable potty pads. |
