How old was yours when they became fully housetrained? I just want to see if my Ambrose is on track? How old was your puppy when they became fully housetrained? |
They are all so different.. I have a girl 9 months old, still using the pp pad, never used these before.. sometimes she goes out, sometimes on the pad.. then I have one that will be two in april and we starting training her at 4 weeks old to go outside.. one of my own baby;s.. another one trained in a few months, the only yorkie that tells me when she has to go.. then there is my oldest who also trained fast... gracie the almost two year old, last year and all summer would pp at night in the hallway.. she is now holding it better now.. but also lets us know.. I would not do the pp pad again.. takes much longer to train then just taking them outside.. LOL |
Loki - 10 months (and that was with some medical issues - I'm so proud of him!) Sammy - about 16 months - 6 months after got her and she was NOT trained when we got her. Bells can work wonders :D ETA: Mine go outside. |
Harley is 6 years old so I am not completely sure, but he was between 10-12 months old. Livi was doing great at about 12 weeks but then we moved into our new home and she started having accidents again. She is now completely trained and is just barely 10 months old. She is so cute....she sits at the backdoor until we see her. :) Tammy |
Bella is 10 months old and she is pretty much potty trained. She does have an accident once in a while. She will use a pee pad but she usually goes to the door and sits there until someone lets her out. |
Yogi was about 5 or 6 months old with the occasional oopsy and roxie is 13 weeks now and she has an accident about once a week. both trained to go outside |
I don't have a clue when Zada and Azrael were totally trained because they never had run of the house till they were a year old, then with me on their heels gradually increasing their time till they were two years old. We still put them in the kitchen area with pads down if we can't take them. I've never had any problems with them at all. They always go on the pad or outside. I love that they do both because if were gone too long I don't have to worry about them needing to go outside to potty. Or traveling and staying in motels. Pads are a blessing when it comes to pouring rain or going out late nights or early mornings in strange places. I'm now training our new family member, Raziel, but she is difficult. I keep her in the expen and it attached to the front of her wire crate and pad down. She goes on the pad each time, but when I let her have a little play time in the kitchen area with more room and a pad down too, she will just squat whenever or wherever. Yesterday I put a towel on the counter and let her sit there to watch me cut potatoes and peel the green beans and after a couple minutes she even started to squat on the towel. She's a challange right now at 5 months old, so I'm sure she will probably be well over a year old before she's more trustworthy. |
Meka is 10 mo's and about 95% trained... She does have an occasional accident or tantrum rather... I think that the majority of her accidents are out of spite (when we leave, and she cant go) But she's a good girl. Given that her pad is downstairs in the washroom, she does pretty well going downstairs on her own when she has to use it. So, Im praying that after she makes a year...things might (keeping fingers crossed) get easier  |
Autumn was 7 1/2 months (I did not get her until she was over 5 months) Blaze is only 4 1/2 months and (knock on wood) I think I can say he is housebroken. (He has not had an accident in weeks! ) He even goes and sits by the back door when he wants to go out!:) |
