Mayson has become sooo needy Just in the last 3 months, Mayson has started to bark and whine whenever he wants attention and it's driving me insane.:confuse2: It gets especially worse when were at another person's house. Lately, I've been saying no and trying to ignore him, but that doesn't seem to be working...he just continues to whine. Sometimes he whines so hard that his entire body shakes and he acts like his entire world is falling apart. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to make him stop? |
You need to act as the pack leader and use some dog whisperer on him.* Use your hand as a mouth and* nip at his shoulder when he barks.* keep it uip until he calms down. A dog that barks at you does not see you as the pack leader, the barking is not the problem, it is just a symptom of the problem.* You need to correct the problem by becoming the pack leader.* There are many ways to do this.* I avise you to watch some episodeds of Dog Whisperer or to buy his DVD. |
I call myself an enabler. I work at home all day and Lillybelle is right beside me, even if I go to the bathroom. She scratches my leg while I work to pick her up ....which of course I do. When my husband and I try to talk she barks. Sorry, Im absolutely NO help. As I sit her typing this. I can hear my husband talking to her telling her, "I know its not Christmas yet, but you could open one of your presents". |
Yeah...I'll have to do some research and read what Caesar has to say. The pinching thing won't really work...Mayson tends to run away when i try to reach over to him (which BTW is another thing that annoys me). I do think I'm the one to blame...I'm not very consistent with him. I try to stop it most of the time, but a lot of other times I just give in. It's so hard not to. |
Yep, you have it right...they are just so cute....WE give in! |
