oops...i had an accident hi everybody. this is my first time on the site and i love it. it's so informative. my yorkie, daisy is 3 months old now. i got her when she was 8 weeks old and successfully potty trained her after a week. i trained her to go on her wee wee pad and she always does. but today when i woke from my afternoon nap i found poop and pee pee on her blanket! does anybody know why this happened? i thought that dogs never go where they sleep and play. i'm worried now that i have to start all over again. now i'm afraid to let her out of my sight! did this ever happen to anyone else? |
I have to say that I am impressed! Only one week to train?! That is fansatic. I have been working on it for 3 months. |
toby was trained completely by six or seven months (we got him when he was three, so it took us a while......) the thing is,.... toby started off REALLY good (it took us a week to train too........ or so we thought) he reverted back to "accidents" after he had been really good :( persistance pays off |
I wish I could say that, Gaby is fully trained on paper and Pebbles sometimes go on it, but neither is trained in the poop poop part. |
thanks everybody. i'm sure patience is the key. |
I have yet to find a Yorkie that is fully housebroken and doesn't have an accident now and then. Daisy is still pretty young so I wouldnt worry too much expecting "perfection" from her. Welcome to Yorkie Talk also!! :p |
My best advice is stay strong, be consistent....don't let that be acceptable behaviour...but also know that with yorkies most likely it's going to happen for a while, randomly. Sully is 11 mo. old now (well he will be in a couple days) and he had random accidents until he was 8-9mo. old. But welcome to YT and we're glad to have ya! |
