female marking? One of my females will be two next month. She has taken to marking. She will pee on toys and blankets and on the doggy blankets I put on my bed to protect my comforter. She follows the other dogs around outside and pee exactly where they have peed. She will do the same thing on potty pads. Any ideas why she would be starting this now? (well, actually a few months ago.) I have started putting back on a leash when we go outside and don't let her go near the other dogs when they potty, or I will take her out alone. I don't know what else to do. It's getting to be a real problem. :( Any advice????? |
Phoebe mark only outside where other dogs have been she also lift her legs:rolleyes: lol; just make sure that she doesn't have any health problems like a UTI first. If is a behaviour problem try to correct her only if you cought her in the momment with a firm NO, or a spray of water, or a can with pennies. Sorry I couldn't be more help for you:animal-pa |
London also marks only outside, she will lift her leg at trees or do a handstand:rolleyes: I would just ask the vet if she's doing it inside a lot |
Parker is doing the same thing (not outside) He does his thing on the potty pad (or close to it hehe) but when he is just lounging around with me he marks in my room. I think that there was a dog in this house before us (we are renting) The only suggestion I can give you is one that my mother said was to start spraying the spots with part Vinegar part water, and correcting them if they do it in front of you! I hope this helps!! |
I never new girls marked, my 2 never have, Sorry I dont have any advise, Hope someone else can help:) |

Isn't it funny when girls lift their leg? Gee, a little mixed up maybe??? Yep, if it continues I'll have to take her to the vet to have her checked to be sure there isn't a problem. My cat has an UTI now and giving her the pills is really a PILL!:) |
