I happen to notice at Petsmart this year they had toys made out of the empty water bottles! My yorkies are about the same way they get new toys for Christmas and after playing with them a short time they are done with them. But my golden will turn 11 years old in February and she plays like a puppy! That is about the only time the yorkies want a toy is if the golden has it. They take it run away and drop it. |
I buy the canvas that you use to repair porch furniture-just the unbleached color. My critters eat the fuzz off of everything. I cut 2 circles about 5 inches in diam. I cut 2 more that are a bit larger than the squeezy toy and make a cover for the squeeky so there is 2 tough layers between those sharp little teeth and the squeeker. I stitch and turn the large circiles leaving an opening big enough to get the toy and polyester batting thru. Then hand sew the hole shut and sew another whole row of stitching around the whole thing. THEN, I KICK MYSELF FOR MAKING SUCH A NOISY THING!!!!LOL |
Tia has a thing for biting my husband's and my feet. She also has a tiny tennis ball that she shows little interest in. So I took a thick sock that I don't really care for...wore it for a while, the put the tiny tennis ball in the toe of the sock. Voila! A faux foot! Fool's her for a few minutes and our toes get a little respite:p :D |
