This may sound weird, but I buy all my toys from Salvation Army for 25 cents each....soft, tiny stuffed animals that can be washed...my two furbabies love them and the price doesn't break the bank. When they get bored with them, I go buy more. |
I have bought little stuffed animals at yard sales, etc. that do not have things that could be torn off...I wash them and unstitch them and then add a little squeaker....Mojo loves them....course, he loves soft, plush toys!!! |
What a great idea....I never thought of putting squeakers in them. I bought a keychain that was actually a little stuffed animal that everytime it was squeezed it would play, "I'm a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie world, etc"...it plays the whole song ..haha...and everytime I passed it I would push it with my foot....my two Maltese and Yorkie gals would go crazy...lol. (I cut the keychain part off so they could shake it) There are great "used" bargains without paying big prices like at Petsmart or Petco. My girls never play with the toys I buy at the pet stores. |
How smart@ And that Dr. Noz or whatever it is at Pet Smart has a package of squeakers you can buy if you can't find them elsewhere cheaper. Quote:

I did the same! Those bins were overflowing with Xmas stuff... They have clothes, toys, stockings already stuffed with different squeakies, lit up scarfs and reindeer 'hats' and booties and a lot of toys again... Everythig 2.50 $ and that's a bargain in NY!! :) |
