A new twist on playing with plastic bottles :animal36 Fagan loves to play with plasic water bottles and the caps. (Especially the caps!!) Well, today he was getting tired of his bottle and I was trying to fold laundry so I put the bottle inside one of my hubby's tube socks...he loved it!!! He played with it untill he finally freed the bottle from the sock...It was good for 20 minutes of fun for him!! Too funny!! |
Great idea!! Starsky loves water bottles too. I'll have to try that. I worry about him getting pieces off of the water bottle. I could tie a knot at the end of the sock and it could last him awhile!! Thanks for the tip! :thumbs up |
HAHA that's a cute idea! I will have to try that. I know Petsmart sells some that have fabric over them already but that sounds like an enexpensive option! haha |
Cali loves the bottles. I'll try the sock thing. |
3 Attachment(s) Here are some pictures of Fagn playing with the sock in the bottle...he love it :) |
I will have to try that as it sounds like he had allot of fun. Don't know that I would let mine play with the caps but the bottle is a plus... |
Oooh I'm going to try that! Samson was just playing with a bottle over the weekend. I had to watch him though because he started to bite a hole in the plastic. Bottle play time was over!! :p |
That is a super idea, I have never thought of letting Bailey play with plastic bottles or caps before. I'm running straight home tonight to show him a new toy! Thanks!!!! |
Laughter, excercise and fun VERY CHEAP!!!! Great idea! |
Sounds like fun . . . my Tiger loves playing with empty water bottles to and it has now been included in our daily morning and evening routines. Although the sock idea is a great idea, I think I will hold off doing it only because I know that socks have very distinctinve smells and I fear that he will go "ga-ga" over socks whether it has a bottle inside or not. He might even end up going after my feet when I have socks on thinking it is the same as the water bottle    . . . . and might never let go! I got the water bottle idea on YT so thank you to whomever posted it . . . my Tiger really always gets a great workout when playing with it. |

Samson seemed to enjoy it last night. Didn't take him long to get it out of the sock and try to start chewing a hole though!! |
Ooo thanks for th tip, I am all over it! |

Just wanted to add that now Samson likes to play with the empty milk jug....the big gallon one!!!!! I had it sitting on the floor by the garbage and he went in there and picked it up by the handle and carried it in the living room and starting playing with it. It was so funny because it it so big. I took a picture. I'll have to post it. :p |
Do post it. I'd love to see a picture of that. That's a good idea!! |

great idea! Ginger loves the water bottles too (and hubby's socks lol), but I always have to take them away from her as soon as she "breaks through", she's sleeping soundly now, but I can't wait to try this! |

[QUOTE=BabyFidgette]That could be his Valentine's day gift!!! Your Yorkie NOT using his socks!! :animal36[/QUOTE A thoughtful gift....and inexpensive too!! Ha ha!! :) :) |
Great idea!! Now I know what to do with all the socks I don't have mates for. Suz |
I don't have any water bottles right now, but I stuffed a tennis ball into an old sock, she loved it---it was like I'd given her a brand new toy! |
3 Attachment(s) I just took one of my old socks and put a plastic bottle in it. Baby is playing with it as we speak. She LOVES it!! Thanks!!! PS. Why is it that we buy them tons of expensive toys and they want to play with plastic bottles, socks and toilet paper? Maybe Baby takes after me!! My mother told me once she gave me something in a huge box (don't remember what it was), and I was playing in the box like it was a house!!! :p |
