As I stated before everyone has their own opinion! I myselelf am VERY protective over both of my yorkies sometimes my boyfriend even thinks I am crazy because I dont want anything bad to happen to them. I just am tired of people telling their stories about greenies. Since the first post about them I never even thought of giving them to my babies. If people hear the stories and have a weird feeling about it I say dont give it to them, period. Though I have never heard of a lot of people talking about their dog choking on anything else have you?? Im not on here everyday of my life like some people, so I dont know. I would rather spend time with my dogs than sit and CHAT to people about them. Im sorry Iam not the kind of person to get all upset and not post anymore, like some people that have been run off by some of you members, you know who you are. Good Day Amanda :aimeeyork |
See, that is thigs I have been hearing and I'm afraid to let She-ra use them!!!Oh, me. :( |

lol, I just bought Fred another Greenie and he is just gnawing away on that thing like his life depended on it! It's soo cute. He's rolling around on his back with that thing between his paws and throws it around. Does anyone elses Yorkie do that with their Greenies? :D |
All right you guys, heres what I think and let me know if you agree. I truly believe that all of these rude asanine comments are being made by people on another forum. If you notice in the past month there have been a few newbies that look for controversy get very insulting then leave. Im guessing these people are either very jealous that we have a very close, knowledgable, trusting, and friendly forum and that this forum is doing as well as it is or they are just born trouble makers who are very disturbed and miserable. Inedible greenies I just today finally found a store that had the mini "nonedible" greenies in stock. They are rubber like and they are shaped like the edible ones in the toothbrush shape but my yorkies didn't care for them. I am so disappointed because I thought maybe this was the perfect solution.Has anyone else tried them? |

My sympathy to K, thank you for the warning. |
feew! i just got through reading all the posts on this subject and all i have to say is this, i will continue to give coco greenies and i will monitor him while he eats them. natalie, stewie, you have handled that person very well. if this person is so upset with people here then LEAVE! noone is keeping you here your immature comments are not needed ,everyone here loves thier babies and want what's best for them i don't think anyone here would want to intentionally hurt thier babies. i feel that this person was out of line with saying, you people(what the hell does that mean), and by saying we shouldn't own a yorkie because we give them greenies, give me a break! people take asprin for pain even though some say it's bad for you,and yet some people say it's good for you? so it's the same with greenies, every dog is different no dog is identical so therefor they may not handle greenies the same as with any other product, get my drift i mean it's common scense to know that. so i feel that this "person" did not need to make such remarks i mean gosh iv'e been her for awhile and yes i get on here everyday(wich is my perogative) and i also have noticed "certain newbies" being really stupid, yes stupid!i mean it's really starting to upset me. and then they put the blame on us! what the hell's going on! |
:eyetearss "You people " reminds me of Adam Sandler in Anger Management!! hahaha He's sitting in an airplane and the flight attendant gets him in some trouble and he says something like "What is wrong with you people?" and this big black guy stares at him and says "YOU PEOPLE, sir?" Hahaha! I'm a sucker for comedy.. and, being off-topic  |

I took the "digestable" greenies away from mine after reading this a while ago. I just didnt want to take the chance and wasnt sure if I would be able to monitor each piece that he chewed off, so I found the new greenies, made by the same exact company. They are the non-edible kind and they are called "Smart Greenies." They sell them at Pet Supermarket and you can get them from www.petedge.com also. At first my guy wasnt too impressed, but now he LOVES it! My little girl has no interest. She is perfectly content with Nylabones in every shape size and flavor! |
I too thought it was a risk not worth taking. I have had my baby choke on a "safe" bone and from now on he gets the fake greenie or nothing. You would be surprised at how big of a chunk they can bite off with little effort. I think I read the label on the petite greenies and they were NOT recommended for toy dogs, look at their weight recommendations. I believe it was either 10 or 20 lbs and over. I am not going to swear to that but I am pretty sure I am right. |
LvMyYorki & Diva Pup: Interesting, thanks for telling us about the Smart Greenies. I think the direct link below should work. Is there a scent on there? Or what makes your Yorkie want to chew on them? We might have to give them a go and see how Yoda likes em. :) http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...ctID=4359&AS=1 |
First of all jesscruz Im not going to leave so deal with it. People have been offended and have left say what you want but members have ran people off, I however am not leaving! Im just too opinionated to get my feelings hurt. You dont have to refer to me as some 'PEOPLE" my name on here is TINK-N-KODY or more formally (amanda) address me by my name if you like I dont mind be specific. I also am not a newbie read under my name I have graduated to a yakker so get it right! You said my comments were asanine or whatever, and you called me stupid and who is immature?? Also come on is it really necessary to curse? That is what I think is so amusing is you all get so huffy over my opinion and look at you making yourself look silly stating your opinion. LOL Amanda :aimeeyork |
CAN WE JUST ALL GET ALONG?? It doesn't take much to be friendly. |
