| My yorkie doesn't play with toys. We have bought Fabio all kinds of different toys: balls, squeeky things. All kinds of toys, but he doesnt play with any of them. Is anyone elses yorkie like this? Are there any suggestions anyone has for toys that your yorkie loved?

| I had a maltese that did the same thing. We called him "THE OLD MAN" There was no toy that ever grabed his attention. Now we have a yorkie and I guess since shes still a pup she loves toys.Have you tried giving him Bully sticks.I swear this is like a drug to mine. She can smell it a mile away. Its not a toy but chewing it keeps her entertained for a while. How old is your yorkie? |

| My Riley was like that. When he came home with us I gave him a little soft baby toy, a pastel colored inch worm, and to this day that's the one he seeks out before anything else. We actually bought him as a playpal for our other Yorkie, Jo, but that didn't work out so well. Riley is now 2 1/2 and about 6 months ago he finally started playing. He doesn't play all day long or anything but he is playing several times a day now and he gets other toys and plays with Jo. It took him about 2 years to start acting like a dog but I think he had a rough start in life. Now he's a big goofball! |

| Well thats the thing, we arent sure how old he is. When we adopted him, the lady told us he was five, another vet told us ten and another said five. So we went with five because he has alot of spunk. But I have tried the "greenies" those chewie bones that are supposed to be good for their teeth and he sniffed it and walked away. We tried milkbones and the hard bones and he doesn't like any. One time however, when we were visiting my parents, they gave their dog a ham bone and Fabio got ahold of it and wouldn't let go, he loved it. But I had to take it away from him cause I didn't know if it was good for him at the time.

| Where would I find bully sticks? And dont get my wrong, he LOVES treats, esp the beggin strips and puperoni, but its the toys he has no interest in. I really wish he would just play with something because I hate when he's alone and doesn't have any toys to play with! And I havent found anything to get his attention!

| Most pet supply stores should have bully sticks..just ask..hmmm this is a toughy..is he still really active?? Would he play tug-o-war with you?? Loofa dog at petsmart is a good tug-o-war toy..hmmm we have a wishbone shaped nylabone that they love to chew on..mind you its pink lol...its sold at walmart..they argue over that one alot lol..small cat toys are always a hit here too...mine have a thing for toys with sound chips too...heck my dogs like mostly everything..except the really rubbery toys..those get killed in minutes and that takes the fun out of it...crinkle toys are lots of fun too...geez thats all i can think of...sorry lol.. | I adopted my Maltese Lady at age four and she wouldn't play with toys either. I don't know if it was her background or she just wasn't interested. The only toys she likes are food oriented - chews and treat dispensing toys. Her two favorites are her Buster Cube (we've had it for years) and her Busy Buddy Twist and Treat. Maybe you could try some toys like that. |

| Yea I bought that toy where you can hide the treat inside and they have to work it out. He never even looked at it! He wouldnt play tug o war with me i dont think. I think he would just walk away! He is fairly active. Such as, when we get home, he runs around wildly and excidetly like a little puppy. But he does sleep alot. But when we take him for walks or anything, hes got alot of spunk. But I dont know about the toy thing. I just wish I could find him something. I am def going to go get the bully sticks today! Thanks guys

| Mocha would love just about every toy I gave him (except for the Everlasting Treat Ball). But then I recently ordered some Pixie Sticks for him (similar to bully sticks) and that is all he will chew on now! He doesn't touch his toys anymore, he always wants his pixie stick! I'm not sure if this was a good or bad move on my part lol. He has a toy box full of all these toys now, but now I have to go order like 100 pixie sticks |

| Don't worry. I understand how you feel! Robby has absoutely no interest in toys what so ever. He is 8 years old now, and for 8yrs I've bought all kinds of new toys but he won't have a bar of any of them. I wish i could find something as all he does is run around the yard barking allllll day. I need something for him to be occupied with. |
