so many toys that I was not allowed to buy the new Star Wars toys other than chewie. my daughter pulled me away saying they have more toys than a toy store. two full baskets and a full mesh holder! eeeks. lol |
Tons because Teddy loves them and I love watching his eyes light up every time he gets a new toy! I think his toys are for me and him somehow.... |
We have two baskets full, I dont know how many exactly, but ALOT. I have the same problem as you. I am always buying toys for them even when they do not need them |
sheesh, Dinky only has 10 because he plays almost exclusively with red squeaky bull with tail. Occasionally he will fool around with small round porcupine or little pink duck, but then it is back to red squeaky bull with tail. He does not know that this is squeaky bull 2. He finally got the tail off the first one. He searched and searched for it for about 2 months. When we saw another one, we grabbed it and presented it to him. If he ever kills this one, there will not be another. I have a white squeaky bear with tail waiting for that day. |
Oh I have to admit Lexi is above and beyond spoiled. I would be embarrassed to even begin to count. I too love seeing Lexi's face light up when I bring her home a new present see goes in circles and it is so cute to see! But, on the flip side I do provide toys to all the girls at works furbabies as Lexi has her favorites that make it to her "circle of friends" in which she piles up and sleeps in the middle of :D so if they don't make it there I know we can give them away lol |
Toys, by the sounds of it I am a miser, toy wise for my dogs. I have water toys, and in house toys. Water toys are fetchable and float of course;) There are about eight of them right now. Different shapes n sizes and usually two or three need replacement annually. They are the highest premium toys in the house. If I don\t keep the water bag zipped up, on of my pack will sneak a toy out of it! At home toys: consist of 3-5 balls of different outer texture etc, 4 ropes, one lone last squeaky this time a snake - the octopus was decimated bought in January did not survive to June lol lol. 4 Frisbees, 3 chewable bone like toys, one feather stick, they love to jump and tease the feathers (it was my old cats toy), one football, one soccer ball, and I think that is it that I can remember. :) |
1 squeaky dog worm guy. 1 rubber ball, 2 knotted tug ropes and his Kong . He has no interest in any of these, but the cats toys? Well that's a whole different story. Pocket pall that you hide kitty pot in? Absconded. Bat mat. (Mat that has a bendy sick with a toy bug on the end). Yeah, cat, don't ever think that was yours either. (I feel like a cheapy compared to all others, but I'm really waiting to see what his personality is going to be like before I buy a bunch of toys he has no interest in) he really loves to chew on my flip flops and my husband's house shoes. So I got him a teether toy out of my kids old baby boxes, nope. But he shot off with the bear my youngest has drug around since she was 5 months old. Now a teenager, but still brought on some tears. Sounds like I don't know my guy at all. Lol |
Gunner is the master of destroying all toys. Doesn't matter what I buy him, he will rip it to shreds within a few days. I toss those when I buy him new ones. There aren't many toys he can't rip, but I think the stuffless ones last the longest. |

And does everyone have to pick up every toy they own when vacuuming or sweeping? Gunner pulls every toy he owns out of his basket as soon as I put them in there or when I am done vacuuming, he is a toy tyrant! |
Probably upwards of 40 - 50. |
Petsmart has free shipping (no limit) on the kong toys until tomorrow. |

I have put two baskets of toys away (rotating the stock, lol) and keep just a few in a Chinese fishbowl on a stand. They have to climb onto the hearth and stand on their hind legs to fish toys out. If I dare, while they're quiet, try to clean up the ones scattered around, it's ON! They come running to pull them out faster than I can get them put away. The house becomes a racetrack with at least one Yorkie--toy-in-mouth-- running the circuit and another barking and running in hot pursuit. I get nowhere. lol :confuse8: Less...is more. :D |
I probably have about 30 toys. I just spent the weekend performing surgery on some of her favorites. However, she just loves her football and her pink bone and a little pink bunny that now has no eyes that I had to sew closed. It only cost $2 but she loves that thing and I haven't seen another to replace it with. |
I spoil my only Yorkie with toys almost every month. She really loves seeing new toys, small stuff toys especially. I think she already owns lots of them and they're all placed in this one big plastic box. |
At least 10. But I think their favorite is the socks on our feet! We pull them half way off and they love to pull them the rest of the way and then shake the heck out of them! They then each grab an end and play tug of war. |

Toys upstairs and downstairs..but as I posted in another thread. My puppy discovered the joy of empty water bottles, lol. I put kibble in them…or dehydrated apple slice or a carrot. She never tires of the quest! Cheapest toy ever, lol. She does love to play fetch, and brings the toy of the day to me to throw, which she's just started initiating on her own:) She's a fun one!! |
In the 16 months that I now have Cody and discovered he like's soft rubber squeaky toys, when ever I go to a Pet Supply, Pet Smart or PetCo I HAVE to buy him a couple, I'll line them up on the floor when I get home and let him select what he wants, the rest go in the bag of new toys, at some point I'll take out toys he doesn't play with often and let him select a new toy. He gets so excited when he gets a new toy, I love to see him so happy. I feel I have to make up to him the 2 1/2 years he had no toys with the prev. owner. All his toys have names and he knows all the names and will get what I ask to, he's so smart. Bad thing is, he's a tosser, loves to come on the sofa and flings his toys across the room lol, every night before bed time I have to pick up a room full of toys, I am trying to teach him to clean up after himself lol. So how many does he have lol, to many now to count. |

Mine have sooooooo many toys.....too many to count......and they were having a sale at one of the sites today, so I just ordered some more......but mine also love the empty bottle toy!!! I use the smaller Gatorade bottles as they are a heavier plastic than plain water bottles so the older larger Yorkies cant crush the plastic bottle! |
Too many to count here. I think most Yorkies are spoilt :D. Pao has 2 baskets full but I have stopped buying the plush ones as he likes rubber balls more so I just buy different balls with different textures on it. |
Too many to count - he has a full box of them. His favorites are the Glamour ball (has a hole to put in treats), Hogbert the Hedgehog (although he constantly needs repair), Zippy Paws Mice 'n Cheese, Ted the T-Rex (a soft dinosaur) and soft, squeaky boxing gloves connected by a tug rope. For chews he likes the softer puppy Nylabones that are chicken flavored. He loves to destroy toys if they are furry. If they're plush, he'll just disable the squeaker but won't try to rip them apart. Past favorites (and love interests) include Bob and Rosie the plush sheep. They were quickly retired after they ripped to curb that behavior! |
Ummm around 30 or so here.... They are all in a basket and she will come and get one, go somewhere and chew on it for a while, then go get another and go somewhere else.... ect ect until we get home and there are somewhere around 25 toys littering the parts of the house that she can get to when we are here. But I maintain that she is NOT spoiled and I am sure that if you asked her, she would find a way to agree..... |
Whew, I thought I was the only one that over indulge their Yorkie. We have 3 areas for toys in 3 different rooms and Buddybear will drag them out from another room and bring it to me in which ever room I happen to be in. I refuse to count the number he has but his second toy is a long legged and long arm fuzzy duck that I have had to sew up several times. That was the first toy he ever humped...in the store at Wal-Mart, but never at home so I guess he told it who was boss.(14 weeks) He gets so excited to get a new toy it's hard to not look when I go shopping. He loves the squeaky ones and the rope tug of war. Buddybear will play tug of war with any toy. Thank you all for making me feel normal! |
I can't count that high! Also can't go into a pet store without buying some fun new ones for my girl! Plus, accessories and the like...! |
Cody is now with me 21 months, in his toy basket he has 50, still has over 25 new ones put away. I can't resist buying him new toys, he appreciates and loves new toys, will play, toss for weeks, how can ya not over buy when you have a pup that just LOVES new toys. All his toys have names, if you tell him the name of a toy to get he will tear his basket apart till he finds the one you told him to get, he's so smart, the smarted yorkie I ever had. I just LOVE this lil guy. |
I buy Mac a toy everytime I go, he expects one when I get home he likes to take out of bag lol |

Mine has 4 but I have bought him a whole lot more before, I stopped buying toys because he would destroy them all in a couple of days. The ones he has now (4) are very durable and so far have lasted more than a couple of months! And also one of those toys is his favorite: a small green ball :) He likes to play throw and fetch |
Teddy had a ton as a little puppy which he never used so I donated those. Once he turned 1 he started getting really hyper & playful and loved to steal socks. He will from time to time see us toss them in the hamper and will stick his head in there grab a sock and trot away like "yeah, I got that sock, can't stop won't stop!" lol He now has 8 toys, but every time I go out and see a safe toy for him from any store I go to, I always have to buy it! |
