Anyone one elses yorkie...... move all of their toys into their bed Smudger does this everyday. When I go to work he is confined to the kitchen till i come home at noon and when i open the kitchen door all of his toys are in his bed lol It is so funny you would think that being alone he would be playing with them but no......... he has more than 10 toys and every single one will be in his bed with no room for him I wish i had a secret camera to film him while i'm at work :animal36 |
Ahhh! That sounds so cute! It would be funny to have a camera and video him stacking all of his toys in his bed. That is too cute!! :D |
2 Attachment(s) Chloe used to do this when she was a puppy. And she would sleep with one eye open to make sure no one would steal them. I got pics to prove it: |

Remember I posted hearing my alarm clock going off and couldn't find it. It was in Murphy's bed. While I was there, I found two pairs of glasses, a couple ball point pens, a comb, two bic lighters, and my car keys (extra set). So - I guess our little dogs are just packrats! I know mine is. Nah! I just find them all over the house or all over the back yard! Now, if I could just teach them to pick up their toys and put them back in the toy box, we'd be doing good! :D |
Opposite! Capi does the exact opposite! As soon as I put her crate on my bed with all her toys in it before bed she has to get each and everyone out of the crate and spread them all over my bed! Once she has them all out, then she goes around playing with each one. It is so cute!!! |
That is soooo cute!! Zoe dosen't even play with his toys. He likes to chew on his cage door whick I don't even use anymore. |
Wow that is like he is picking up his toys. What a good doggy!! Starsky scatters them everywhere, inside and out! He is pretty protective of his chewy's. He guards them from my other dog who will eat them quickly. It really stresses Starsky out to have to protect them.. Sometimes I help!!! |
oh that is adorable!!!! He sounds so smart |
Me Too! I always wonder what my little princess does all day while home alone (stuck in the kitchen as well). I find her bed on the other side of the kitchen..upside down...blanket on the floor...and toys all over. Must keep herself busy.... Love the video idea :D |
My little HOARDER! 1 Attachment(s) Check out MY LITTLE HOARDER! I just put all these toys up right before I put him down for bed, and watched him go down the ramp and fetch a toy, drag it up the ramp, across the nightstand the ramp is propped on, over to the bed, and into his little bed. Only to repeat that again for as many toys as you see. I went and grabbed the camera just so I could post this picture here! OH MY! LORD HELP US ALL! (Keep in mind, he only weighs 1 lb 9 oz.) |
A great game that Twinkle has just discovered is taking her squeeky ball to the top of the staircase and dropping it down the stairs. Then she runs down stairs at high speed to catch it!! |
Lexi is a little hoarder too but most of the time she hides thing in my bed when my husband went away on a trip for a long weekend by the time he came home there were 9 count them 9 bones burried under or around his pillow. I guess she thinks daddy's pillow is a safe place. Throughout the day she takes toys and hides them by her pillow on the floor, it crakes me and my hubby up. If she can not get up into our bed she sits by the bed with her toys or bone in her mouth crying until one of us puts her on the bed, then she waits for us to leave the room so she can hide the toys in the covers, like it is some big secret or something and if we come in while she is hiding the toys/bone she has to start all over. What a character. |
Wouldn't it be a great trick to teach them to pick up there toys from all over the house? If anyone can accomplish that give me a call, he he. As soon as i pick up her toys within minutes they are all over again. as if she were saying...mom i put them there for a reason, don't touch them. |
Aww! Hahaaa!! Why are Yorkies soooo cute?! All the pics of those little magpies are adorable. If you can, you really should try film them - that would be awesome Badger doesn't like toys in his bed (because he fights with all his toys) but the other day I was putting the cushions from his bed into the washing machine and underneath them I found his secret treasure chest: a) a hairband b) a hard gum piece of candy c) a curler d) a cigarette lighter e) three dog biscuits Hahahahaaa!! I love them!! |
It sounds to me that HE has taught himself to pick up his toys. I'd make that his toy box and get him another bed and see what happens! |
yep Casper takes all of his things and puts them in a corner in the dining area. ** Where he sleeps, his crate is there also but he hides everything in the corner of the room and if you move it to another room he takes it on a dead run to put it back. |
Jaxon always moves his toys into our sunroom - we've renamed it the 'fun room!' It has the most sun and he loves to lay in there. Every evening I put the toys back in his bed but they always get moved around. |
Elphie likes to "talk" to anyone who will listen, but she only does it when she's got one of her toys in her mouth. Lately one Of my friends at the office has started getting her to whine to him. It's quite funny. In fact, Elphie talks most often when she hasn't been ackowledged by someone when they enter the room! |
Ella does the opposite. We put all her toys in the corner by her bed and then she spends the rest of the day draggin them out and leaving them all over the floor!! :D |
No the toys are all over our house. Now treats that's another story. I find them hidden everywhere. |
how funny! Harley is SUCH a toy hoarder!:) He and his brother will have all of their toys up on the sofa within minutes of me putting the toys on the floor. He also has a habit of "hiding" toys from his brother and I will find all of the toys in one corner of the room, usually out of sight. SO funny!! |
Lol! Oh I am totally cracking up!! :eyetearss I thought Stedman was the only little whacko that did this lol! :mtongue: He does this ALL the time! And I do mean ALL the time!! I will go and pick them up and put them back where they are supposed to go...and 5 minutes later I will walk in the living room and there they are, all moved over to his bed in a big pile. I have been sneaky before and peeked around the corner and watched him do this. He will pick them up one by one with his mouth and drop each one on his bed until they are all there. What a funny little guy! :p Also if I am in here in the computer room he will drag each and every SINGLE toy and plop it down right here on the floor next to computer chair and just start squeeking away. He is a ball of laughs. We are constantly cracking up at this house :lol tears |
Max is the same way...we keep his toys in a basket in the living room & move it to his room while we're gone for the day. Every day when we come home, his toys are all on his bed, so we pack them back into the basket & move to the living room. He unpacks his basket & puts all the toys on the chair & then plays with them 1 by 1. |
cooper does that! it's like he has a bunch of cuddle buddies -- it is so cute! |

Chloe (now 1 years old on July 1st)always puts hers in her bed and keeps an eye on them still, ever since she was a baby. She used to move them in the mornign to our livingroom. When 11PM came, she would start the chore of moving them all back to the family room where her bedtime bed was. Now we have Sissy (4 months old on August 2) She looks just like Chloe did BUT.... how different they are. Sissy lifts her cushion and puts all the toys under her cushion!!! (when she is in her playpen) When she is lose in the house, first she steals my blanket off my recliner, then bunches it up the way she wants it, then takes all her toys AND Chloe's too, puts them in a circle on my blanket and naps in the center of the circle. Beware to anyone who goes near!! (this is where I can see how anyone can dub our babies "The Yorkshire Terrorist") Chloe & I didn't do this but Sissy has become the boss of us both. She has a strong personality and takes and gets what she wants. Poor Chloe is so gentle, she gets yelled at by Sissy once, then sits back and watches her toys doze with her Sissy:eek: I also wish I had a camera to catch it all while I was gone. Sissy will stuff anything under her cushion, even her wee wee pad ?!? I wonder why but more often wonder how she gets it all under there without disturbing her cushion much. I can't help but wonder also, why she likes to lay on all those bumps........... |
