Nylabone - Any dogs like Just curious, are there any dogs out there that actually like traditional Nylabone products? I know 5 different dogs of 3 different breeds, and not a one of them ever shows any interest in Nylabones. |
Mine 3 will chew on them only because they have to. Every time I give them a good chew treat one of them gets sick. So I only give then nylabones. |
I bought one puppy nylabone for Ziva- it's still around, hardly chewed on! I have a wheaten that would demolish anything when she was a puppy- not her nylabone- I threw it out almost untouched, 9 years ago! |
Ours love nylabones and that is all they are allowed to chew. We only use flexible nylabones. |
Nope, Jackson won't touch 'em. He did one time but we were at my grandma's house and it was her Lab's nylabone... so I think he was only eating it because she was, LOL. Other than that, no, he won't. |
I used to have a black lab that LOVED her hard nylabone. She used to carry it all around the house and let it crash to the wood floor when she dropped it. -_- My yorkie is okay with them. She liked the Nylabone Puppyfish and also the flexible ones. She also liked the nubby blue one that's out there. |

Coco used to be obsessed with her nylabone! A few years ago she started to not even want to look at it though. She still has it but it does not look like a bone anymore! It kind of looks like a stick with the ends melted, you would never guess it was a bone! Too bad she doesn't like it anymore! |
I bought a little blue one about five months ago. Zoey loves it and chews on it everyday. It has little bumps all over. |
My 3 yorkies LOVE nylabones. I have 8 bones laying around, they even fight over them. Calvin, the baby will chew on a nylabone forever if one of the other dogs doesn't take it away from him. I sometimes have to throw them away because they chew on them so much, and buy new ones. |

My pups all love their nylabones! I only buy the Dura chew nylabones. |
OK, stupid question. Are nylabones fattening? Toby is on a major diet (has to lose weight due to his LP) but he LOVES to chew. He's chewing himalayan chews in one evening. They are supposed to last for days. I guess I can't give him a bully stick because they have fat in them, right? But they are also very high in protein. Wonder if a nylabone would satisfy his craving to chew on a bone.............. |

Sophie likes the nubby nylabones when she comes back from her evening walk. When my husband comes home from work every evening she runs to the closet were her harness and leash are then sits and paws the door. After her walk she grabs her bone. I throw them out when they start to look worn and give her a new one. |
When Lacie has all her toy options in front of her, she doesn't typically choose her nylabone. But she does chew on it, especially when it's getting close to bedtime and she just wants to lay down and chew on something. We give it to her when she wants to chew on hard furniture, cellphones, remotes, etc. :) |
Wish we could get our little guy to use a Nylabone (tried several different models). Instead he's been chewing on our wooden shoe (unpainted) shoe organizer. He apparently prefers that to any of his toys or Texas Toothpicks. |
Levi use to love the big blue "nubby" ones, but he was really eating it. I got nervous that pieces could get stuck in his digestive track so I stopped giving him these. |
My Moka got the Wishbone Nylabone in the last GE. She absolutely LOVES it! Both of my dogs are aggressive chewers. How chewed up do you let the nylabone get before you all take it away? |
We use the nylabones. I just keep a close eye on them and when I see they are starting to get marks on them, in the trash they go. :) |

Mine loves the hard nylabones. My girl chewed on her hard nylabone so much that she scraped the skin raw around her mouth recently because of the multitude of chew marks on it. There was blood on her fur and everything!! Needless to say I threw it away immediately. Now i'm going to be worried about infection. I would stick to flexible and rawhide chews. |
Mine chew the big ones too! The none edible ones....but they prefer to chew them after my rat terrior Harley gets them started!! (he is an avid chewer!) They as puppies loved the nylabone keys when teething..:) |
Both of mine love them (the non edible ones). I inspect them often to make sure they are still safe and they go in the trash if there is any question. The ones I get have a "flavor" such as chicken or something. |

Rawhide chews are hazardous! As for the nylabones...if you get the nylabone dura chews your pup should not hurt himself. The trick with them is to remove them as soon as they start to show wear and tear. |
