How I STORE THEIR TOYS
 
I store all their toys in a plastic laundry basket. They can get their toys out very easy. Angel usually climbs in. Its really quite to watch her.At night its a breeze to the the toys back in the basket.:D

Good idea...My toys are all over,but I still want them to be able to get to them. My cats are always laying in our laundry baskets all around the house...lol:rolleyes:

I do the exact same thing! Bella normally climbs in to get a toy and then gets too scared to jump out :p. So I usually just tip the entire basket on its side during play time and just scoop everyting back in before bed.

Toy storage
 
I use baskets that are not deep. There are so many colors & styles these days. They add to the decor of the room & the babies can get in & out of them without me worrying.:thumbup:

I try to keep the toys in a plastic Lego storage box, but they are mostly all over the house... :rolleyes:

kitty condo
 
my baby took over the kitty condo...so I finally put the toys in it. He luvs it he sticks his head in and pulls out the toys and hopefully someday I can teach him to put them away!

We have "americana"/rustic theme living room, so Bentley's toys are just in a small wicker basket under the table. He is gentle with the toys (still has his very 1st toy "his baby" even after 4 yrs lol) and he only plays with 3 out of 6 toys he has. He is very particular lol. So we didn't need anything to big.

welcome to the site ... my baby plys with 6 at the same time ans is far from gentle, he is all boy,and five lbs. with a 50 lb. personallity.

We tried the toy-box thing but it didnt last at all. I go through and put all the toys in the baskets, we have one in or bedroom, livingroom, office, and our den. Well Muffy doesnt understand I want the toys she isnt playing with in the toy-box. She wants them all over the house. My house looks like 3 two year olds live here. My DH leaves for work at 3:30AM and has tripped on the toys on the stairs. :rolleyes: My kids 16 and 19 say that when they were little they were not allowed to leave there toys all over the house. :p My kids are very jealous of the babies.:D

I tried the plastic basket and the wicker too, my 5 month old is a chewer and she kept chewing on both.
I found a softsided toy box for pets from Zanies that has zippers so you can fold down the side to allow them to climb in.
I found it at Baxterboo.com but did see other sites that had it. They had the cheaper price. They also had other styles as well.

I bought the rubber maid slide under the bed box and it works out well. Buffy is my smallest fluff and loves to sleep with the toys!!!!

I have this for Mocha and it is HUGE! I don't use it as his regular toy box though, it's more like a storage box for his brand new items/toys/blankets that he hasn't used yet. Once his other toys/items/blankets get old and/or ready to throw out, I get out something new from the box. I also put clean towels in there so I have them ready for bath time (I don't like putting them in the linen closet as other members of my family have accidently used his towels before lol).

We just use a small wicker basket with a cloth liner from walmart. It matches my decor and my older baby has learned to strategically knock over the basket until it spills. Then at night I tip it back and we start all over ;) Super cheap too!

I have been using wicker baskets too but the new puppy is chewing on them. I am having a time at getting him to stop. I may have to go to the plsatic laundry basket for awhile til he gets past his teething. Don't want anywicker splinters in his mouth!

My lil' Phoebe came with a Strawberry Hut (note to self: post a pic!) which is literally a giant Fabric Strawberry with a hole in the center of it (like a kitty condo) and I use that to store toys in my bedroom, too.

In the hallway, is a huge open weave wicker basket with the majority of the girls toys. Actually, it's usually empty until "I" scoop up all the toys & tidy up...lol!

My bad :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork babies never learned to put their toys away either...

To lazy to take a pic of the Strawberry Hut...but, here's one on eBay that looks just like it:

I started using just a plastic box, but he seems to like to keep them in his bed. Sometimes its hard to find him in the morning cause he's surrounded by all of his toys!

This is what I used as well for awhile. But it began to overflow with too many toys. So now I have small cloth toy boxes throughout the house, one in just about every room.
Hershey loves sleeping on top of all the toys in the toybox. It is so cute and amazing that he can jump in it when it is twice his height.

This is Destiny in one of the toy boxes after she pulled a bunch of toys out.

We use a big wicker basket as well but Lacey started chewing it so I'm going plastic I think till she gets alittle older.

I just use couple of their beds (we have tons of toys & wall to wall beds here:D). They can get to the toys easily too. Once I put all the toys on the beds...by the end of the day, it's all over the place! I wish I can train them to clean up. lol

I use a rubbermaid basket and it leans up against the wall at an angle so Gizmo has easy access to it. As you can see he doesn't put away his toys very well after he plays with them!

I bought a mesh toy box, which is kind of like one of those popup laundry baskets. I got it from the dollar store and it's very low to the ground so it's perfect for my little baby to get her toys out of it!!

I have two little kids so an extra toy bin was easily accessible. They jump in and out when ever they need something...kids and puppies...lol!

my dh built a small wooden box,(he built a larger one that is closed so we can rotate toys out, they think they are getting new ones), the small box is open on top and on legs..but...it has a round hole in the bottom so they can get under it and tug out whatever toys they want..kinda like a toy challenge dispenser..LOL on top of that of course is the faves always scattered about..Baxter has always loved the dispenser..we'll see how the girls take to it.

I'm starting my 3/12 stretch... so, as soon as I get that out of the way, I'll empty it out and take some pics, it's real simple, and...shhh, I thought it was totally stupid when he made it...I've been proven wrong before, will be again...LOL

LOL Did he happen to make any stairs for the couch/bed as well? The toy holder sounds like a really cute idea. I bet my babies would like to pull out the toys from the bottom like that.

I have a several wicker baskets with liners from the Pottery Barn and I put Fancy's toys in there. I use them for everything though, different sizes all over the house - from the kids rooms to our bedroom to the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room!! You can personalize them with a name or a word too.
