Avoid camille vinet! Do not buy Yorkshires from this "breeder" in St-Remi (Quebec). Here is my experience: First, dogs are not kept in the family home. They are in a shed outside of the family home that you CANNOT visit (PUPPY MILL?) Secondly, you CANNOT see the parents of the puppies in person! For a multitude of excuses, she says that they have not been washed and are not presentable (WARNING!); Thirdly, she provides a guarantee of ONLY 10 DAYS! Any respectable breeder offers MINIMUM 1 YEAR! I've even seen some offer 2 years! Why only 10 days? She does not believe in her dogs? They have a reputation for being sick? Fourthly, they are NOT registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. The reason? She LOST her rights several years ago to register her dogs because of complaints the C.K.C. received from several customers who had bought their dogs with her! Fifthly, she had to face the Quebec justice several times due to lawsuits against her by purchasers of her Yorkshire. The records of the Small Claims Court of Québec states that SEVERAL LAWSUITS were filed against her. The reasons are many, but it focuses mainly on the health problems of the puppies she sold. Sixthly, NO PROFESIONALISM! If you interrupt her when she speaks or you ask her certain things (do not try to ask questions she talks non-stop) she asks you why you ask these questions! In conclusion, from my experience, a puppy should always be raised in a family environment in the family home with a MAXIMUM of ten (10) dogs. Otherwise, it starts to be messy (despite all the precautions that can be taken) and the puppy loses its individuality. |
I'm really sorry about your experience... But your post help me a lot. She was on my list to buy a puppy... Thank you for sharing... |
Update Hi everyone Just to let you know, that lady still is a breeder. In fact i was searching the net to find a reputable breeder on my area (Montreal, Qc, Canada) and i came across her info in kijiji and also her website. I did contact her and it was november last year. She reply as follow: On Nov 22, 2013, at 7:32 PM, Camille Vinet <info@yorkie-cam.com> wrote: J’ai 4 femelles qui feront entre 4 et 4.8 lb. Camille ======== Basically informing be she has 4 females that will be between 4-4.8 lbs 895$ all included, taxes , 50$ on accessories, and such. Now, i have questions : is it normal that the Yorkie will be 4-5 lbs? Isnt that i bit too small? I mean , wouldn't that lead to health issues? I didnt buy or conclude a deal with her , but I mean it she is to be exposed We should do something about it... Where do we write, who we contact? Please if anyone knows of a true good breeder, i would appreciate. Thanks Blessings to all of you |
hi hi as a family we have purchased 5 dogs with from her since 1998 with no issues at all |
Stay Away from Yorkie-Cam Lost my Katcouty couple days ago....she was 10 years old....got her from Camille Vinet puppy Mill inc....last 3 years of her life were hard, very hard....and her condition got worst and worst, last year she could not walk anymore and vet told us that there was nothing to do....she had scoliosis and knee cap issues....could not let her go loved her so much....I was walking her in and out to her essential need but at the end she had zero quality of live. Vet told us that she had bad genetic defect cause by poor breeding.....I only found out last week about the horror story's from Camille Vinet Puppy mill..... take a look at this....her records are terrible law suit after law suit: Résultats de recherche |
Omg my daughter almost bought a Morkie from m this lady. She was asking $1400 per dog. The only reason she didn't was because this woman refused to even try to communicate in English. She ended up finding a beautiful little pup ten minutes from home instead of driving to St Remy |
She is still selling dogs (morkie and yorkshire as I know of). I contacted her recently (this week) and she told me she had top of line only... She does not sell cheap either. I think she has someone else selling dogs for her too and I think they tried to present a dog as a yorkshire when it really doesn't seem like it. I am happy I have found this thread. Could anyone refer me to a good breeder in the Montreal area? |
I just purchased two purebred championship lined yorkies, one female and one male to restart my breeding program. I found them by checking the CKC website for registered breeders and emailed a few near me. If you are looking for a Morkie my daughter got a beautiful female from a lady in Arnprior. Find her in fb. Her name is Aline Chart. Her profile picture is a beige Morkie. She will be breeding her female this fall and is taking names for her waiting list |
