hello from Canada :) :animal-pa Hello and hugggs to you from our yorkies here in Windsor Canada |
New puppy!!! :) I was given a purebred Yorkie puppy last night. He is 7 weeks old and his name is Brewser. I have never had a yorkie so I will be open to any support from you experts. I went to pet value and they gave me special food for him till he is 8 weeks old and showed me the next food to give him after that and then the special yorkie food when he is older. i got him hooves to chew on and a squeaky toy. They gave me treats that he can eat that break apart easily. He is partially paper trained already and doing ok with that. He is also going outside on walks. He is beautiful and lovable. I didnt plan on getting him. It just sort of happen as i did not want him to end up at the pound. Anyways i look forward to chatting to you all. |

Hi, I reside in Alberta, but my heart and soul belongs to Newfoundland, so you have a Newfie here, let's see if we can get one from all provinces. |
Nice to see more of us are actually on here! Anyone have any favorite websites that they like to order things from for their pups? CANADIAN websites? It's so frustrating that everything seems to be in the US - customs fees are a real pain in the you know what... Also, any word on that yorkie meet up in Toronto? I wouldn't mind learning more about it... |
just a baby the puppy was actually less than 6 weeks old when i got him last monday and by wednesday he was completely house broken.....he is amazing....pics will be coming soon |
Isn't 6 weeks too young for a puppy to leave it's mother? |
Essex here! Quote:
We live in Essex and go to Windsor almost every day. We like to go to Mic Mac Park, :dogwalk: lost of squirrels to chase.(on a leash of course) Happy to see someone from the same parts. |
Hi from Montreal :) |
Hi From Brampton Ontario, Congratulations on your new Yorkie !!!!! He will change your life. My yorkie is a happy healthy 16 month old. The most compliment I hear about her is that she is so quiet. I think that is because I took her everywhere when she was a puppy and got her used to all kinds of people, dogs and noises. I still take out to sports events, the park, the mall etc. SuperPet has great carry bags. Good luck with your little guy ! |

I have had 2 male dogs in the past and we have had major training issues with them. Now, I have a senior female lab/pitbull and my yorkie is a little girl, and they have been so much easier to train and generally have been more mellow in temprament. Bella doesn't have the princess mentality. She acts like a little boy, but doesn't mark :) I think it's just how you treat them and what you will tollerate. As for the preggers issue, she is being spayed ASAP! I don't want to deal with that either. Good luck., just my two cents for what it's worth. :) Look forward to meeting you and the little one in the future! |
