Looks like there are a bunch of us in the high desert. We should plan a meetup sometime. Starting to get cooler, so it probably should be soon or wait until spring.
Anybody up for it? Or we could all plan to meet at the Bark in the Park.... Is someone already organizing a meet up there?

I'm not in the high desert...I'm in the LOW desert, haha....92211, "Playground of the Presidents" (= boring). I have 1 Yorkie, but want at least one more!

I sent an email to Kathy who posted above about the Bark in the Park. I am hoping she will come on and give us more info about the when/where. etc of the meetup planned at the bark in the park in Lancaster.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many of us here in the high desert!!! My sister, Janet and I, have been breeding yorkies for a number of years, and each year we invite those that have gotten yorkies from us to the Bark at the Park. So yorkies are fairly well represented at this event. It's so much fun!

I posted information on the regional board as well, but I'll post it here too. I hope a good many of you can come!

"Yes, we will have a meetup the same day. My sister and I run the raffle booth, so let's meet there at 2:00. Of course, you may stop and say hello anytime during the day. Last year, Latuya (Monica) came with gus... all 3 pounds of him, and a few others. The website is a little hard to navigate, but there is a Pet Parade put on by the Girl Scouts at 11 a.m., with prizes for the cutest Girl Scout Uniform, Peppiest Pooch, and Prettiest Pooch. Then, at 12, there are the man's best friend contests, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for each category... best trick, look-a-like, best singing dog, best dressed, and best human barker. Then, at 1, there will be a live auction, with winner's choice of a gorgeous pink or blue stroller, weekend getaways to Miracle Springs Resort Spa in Palm Springs or a Bed & Breakfast in Mendocino, a girl's bike, a year's worth of dog food (maybe a decade's worth for a yorkie!), etc. There are numerous raffles as well, with dog beds, carriers, baskets, etc.

Thanks for all of the info Cathy. I for one am going to try to make it. Hopefully will be bringing 3 yorkie furbabies with us. (Mom(Sunshine) and Beamer and Rainbow (her 23 week old babies))
