| My review on sweet yorkie kisses I just want to start of saying that I love my little girl alice and I'm really glad that she came into my life. But I was not informed and did not do my research about the person where I was getting my new friend from. I know that there was a thread earlier this year about this web site and the persons involved but i was not aware of this till recently. I posted a thread a couple days ago about my little alice's problems but i left the breeder annoynomus. After speaking with the breeder again and having her not help me and come up with excuse after excuse I have been moved to write a review on sweet yorkie kisses. I got alice about 3-4 weeks ago from melissa with sweet yorkie kisses. she responded to my emails quickly. seemed nice enough and my boyfriend and I went to her house to look at 2 little girls that she had. When I got there she was finishing bathing them and told me they had pooped on themselves. I didnt think anything of it because pups make messes and i would expect this. She showed me both girls at the same time. one was a yorkie maltese mix and she weighed 1 lbs, the other was a full yorkie and she weighed 2.4 lbs, they were both born 2 days apart. We both really fell in love with the bigger pup and because of my impatience to wait we took her on the spot. we took her to the vet the next day and she seemed to check out fine. so that was good... but then i started noticing her decrease in appitie and her loose stool. i took her back to the vet and it turns out that she has giardia. The vet said giardia is easy to treat so it wasnt that big a deal. I called her to warn her that her other dogs might have giardia and that they should be treated or tested. she said that i shouldnt have taken her to the vet and i should have gone to her and she would give me medicine. i told her that i will continue to go to my vet because she is not a vet and i said it wasnt a big deal because it cost me 20 bucks for meds. the next day i gave her her first dose of meds and she had a bad reaction to it because it was to strong. well this caused her to throw up and she became very weak. she was hospitalized on iv for two days. I told her again that because she was sick I had to pay 800$ to help save her life. she told me that she could not help pay for vet bills but she would give me a 500$ discount on a second puppy. So I got no help from her about this. I sent her another email about the ca puppy lemon laws. I asked her again to help me out because she sold me a sick puppy and again she has refused. her excuse have been endless about why she cant help. they range from my "contacting her 15 days" after i found out she was sick, which is a lie, to her not being about to pay her rent. she has also offered to breed my alice when she becomes old enough and that she would give me some of the profits from the pups to helpn pay for my medical bills. I think that this sugestion is crazy. I do not want to breed my girl, she is my friend and I love her. I would not put her back in the care of this woman. Please be aware that this is just my experience. I am not a professional. I do not know how the law works in these situations and I am not a breeder. I believe that she knew that the pup was sick and yet still sold her to me. I was unsuspecting, unknowledgeable and I did make a mistake going to her. I wish I had done my work and read some reviews on her before i made the purchase. I hope this can help inform others into not making the mistake that I did. If you buy a pup from sweet yorkie kisses, do not expect much help with anything goes wrong.

| I'm sure your little girl will get better, but this woman and her partner have to be stopped. This isn't the first time Melissa has been brought up on this forum. Here is the thread for a previous review. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ute-puppy.html

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm so sorry this happened to you, I read a review of her before, and knew she wasn't very good. I can't believe she suggested she'd breed your Alice, thank goodness you are not a greedy person, but I wonder how many people would take her up on this? No wonder Yorkies have so much genetic illness with breeders such as this. Another reminder for those looking for a pet, get to know the breeder first, you are buying a breeder, not a dog. I mean do you reaally want a "life-long" relationship with someone like that?

It can't be emphasized enough that buyers need to do their research, they need to know what to look for and what not to look for, so this type of thing doesn't keep happening! I would have clicked off this breeders site right away. There are red flags that slap you in the face the second you get on there! Hybrids, t-cups, micros! Ugh!

However, this greeder took advantage of this person, as they work on the unsuspecting public. Her telling this young person that to bring her back for breeding so that she could recoup her money speaks volumes. What a scum bag.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Is this the breeder? Sweet Yorkie Kisses - ***YORKIE PUPPIES{Golden Yorkies}{Chocolate*Yorkies}{Biewers} Yorkie Studs for Hire-links on the right So many red flags, but I had to laugh at her saying, "Beware of scams and irresponsible breeding practices."

| I know that i'm young, very implusive and impaitent. I'd like to think that i am not a stupid person but because I am not knowlageable people like this can take advantage of people like me. I dont know how many other young families that have gotten puppies from her that have also had similar problems. Another thing that I thought was weird is that, if she cant aford to pay her rent then how can she aford to care for her animals? this really doesnt make any sense to me. raising dogs and making sure that they are healthy during pregnacy cant be cheap. if she does this "for fun" as shes stated before then how can she aford her pets care? I'm pretty confused on this.

| I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, but I also want to thank you for letting others know about it. Hopefully you will save someone else from the same problems or worse. I live in ca also, and I am searching for a friend for my Sofia, I would hate to bring home any illness to her. She is so tiny, who knows how this kind of thing could affect her. I hope your little one gets well some and that she remains healthy for the rest of her life. |

Just do your homework, feel comfortable with your breeder, if you don't walk away. You buy your breeder first then your puppy. It should be a relationship for the rest of that puppy's life.

| Wow.... "Bring her back and I'll help you breed her" She's gotta be kidding!!!! OP I'm so sorry that your new baby is sick. This should be a happy time, instead you're having to deal with illness and a horrible excuse for a human.
