Beware of yorkiebabiedolls.com in Oklahoma I bought a male yorkie from www.yorkiebabiedolls.com a little over a year ago. and it has been heart ache after heart ache. First within the first couple months of having him, he was diagnosed with Legg-calve Perthes disease, which required a very expensive surgery. The breeder refused to reimberse me anything even though he came with a one year health guarantee. Now I just found out that my dog is now diagnosed with Inflammatory bowel disease, he always had an on-going problem with soft stool and now I know why. They claim to have really small dogs but what they do is starve them. My dog came to me at 6 months old and was 2 pounds. within a month he gained 4 more pounds. He his now a 7 pound yorkie and the breeder claimed he would only be a 2.5 pound yorkie. I also found out that the breeders on this website are breeding their females every heat, which is terrible for the mothers health, not to mention very poor quality pups. I just wanted to share my horrible experience with all of you so you know what kind of breeders are out there. Please only buy from people who truely care for their dogs and not just doing it for the money. To learn more about puppy mills please visit www.stoppuppymills.org |
I'm so sorry to hear this. :( I hope your baby will be ok. Thank you for posting this warning. |
I feel so bad for you. The site looked reliable when I first stumbled upon it. Unfortunately, you are not alone. There have been other posts about how bad this place it. I wish there was a compiled list of websites on here to avoid. It would be much easier(since we all probably look at the same ones). |
Thats a shame cause her puppies look darling. I'm sorry you had so much medical issues with your furkid. Thanks for the heads up!! |
My advise, i would take them to small claims court if you had a Health guarantee to cover some of your expence, poor baby ! |
I am so sorry and thank you for posting this. |
Is she the one who comes to Sacramento, CA every now and then to deliver puppies? Or am I getting her confused with someone else? If it's her then I know someone who bought a puppy from her, I wonder how her puppy is doing?? |
The website reminds me that of Jeff Dane's....... This is Bella Danyelle's AKC small male born 6/19/06, should be gold & blue, weighed 4 1/2 lbs 4/3/07. Papa is Sir Kingsley, he belongs to my brother so I do not have a picture of him but he is very pretty. He has been vet checked! We will trade this male for a small female puppy. So, you can't take a picture of the dog because it belongs to your brother? Yeah, I'm sure he's pretty.......simply stupid! And will trade for a small female........to breed I bet  |
Me again..........well, seems like she sells for friends or family members eh? What a joke....... |
there is a site where you can write a complaint but i forgot what the link name is. hopefully someone here can tell you. is there a lemon law where you live? if i can remember what the site link is, i will let you know. |
I hope you persue to take breeder to court, if she offered a 1 yr guarantee then she needs to obey that. This is so sad and I'm sorry you have had a bad experience with her. She will get what's coming to her! |
The breeder told me that the only way I would get my money back is to send Fabio back to them, I was like "no way, he came to me starved. There is no way I would send him back to you so you could tortour him more" I had already gotten so attached to him, and they probably would'nt have even paid to fix his leg, and just let him suffer, I couldnt let that happen. I wish I would have read the guarantee better, because I would never agree to sending the pup back! Better yet, I wish they were responsible breeders and didn't breed stock that carries defects in their line. Alot of people think breeding is easy and all it takes is a male and a female, but their is so much more to it, not only researching the lines for health problems but blood tests, x-rays, and being very knowlegdable of symptoms of heritary disease so you can look out for them, there are literally hundreds of heritary defects and diseases dogs have and could carry on. People think that breeding is easy money but you must put in alot of money before you even breed, or this will happen, you'll end up breaking so many hearts. |
so sorry that you had to go thru that...and i thank you for this post... |
I remember going to this site after another post of 'warning' about a year ago. I recall looking at their site and thinking they have a real nice looking page and go that extra mile at putting their children in there too! It only show that you can't judge a book by the cover as the old saying goes. It is really hard to tell who you can trust out there!! My chihuahua was sooo tiny when we got him and they said he would stay a 'tiny' WELL!!!! Rico Suave is now 13 lbs!!!! When we took him to the vet he was just full of worms and the vet said once those were gone he would probably be a 10# or more!!! We were shocked. We REALLY love all those 13# of him though. But I DO believe the breeders let these things happen, just to SELL!!!!!:( |
