| Very nice web site....I would want to be sure the vet that does the surgery on your pups deformed foot, is a certified orthopedic specialist, as this is going to be a complicated procedure, I would think. I have no problem with an orthopedic specialist that has years of experience in this field, performing surgery on my pets....but when it starts getting involved and really complicated, I tend to go with board certified specialists....In my mind, correction of a deformaty like you are dealing with, is like plastic surgery on bones! If I have a little mole that needs to be excised, in some out of the way place on my body, a dermatologist can do that....but if that mole is on my face, I want a plastic surgeon that has years of experience, doing this on my face!!! Same with my pups....simple broken bones or less complicated procedures, ortho specialists with experience will work for me....but complicated, involved procedures I want board certified specialist. |
