I gave you that advice before, but you start arguments again. Educate yourself about reputable FANTASTIC breeders. Right now seems like you either don't know anything about this subject or just one of them, sorry.
I did send many approvals. BTW, just send names of those fantastic breeders, can you? and we will see how fantastic they are....

Please dont use this as an excuse to fight. I am doing all I know to try to get a puppy mill stopped. Alot of us are doing the only things we know how. I am sure there are good breeders who sell on sites like this and also who ship but we need to focus on the ones who arent.:confused:

Sorry, but buying from a website is no different than buying from a pet store, while good breeders have websites they don't sell their dogs from the site, they need to interview you, as well. Remember, closing down one website doesn't not close the puppy mill down. They just open a new website. The HSUS says:

I didn't say there are ALL good breeders on puppyfind, but, I know personally a lot of MY FRIENDS and even my biewer breeder that put their pups on there, and I may use puppyfind myself, there are also breeders on here that have their dogs on puppyfind, so believe what you want, not all people on there are puppymills, and if I advertise on there, believe me, I'm not a puppymill. Maybe you had better get a little more educated, I'm sure I've been around much longer than yourself! Scrapindee on here sells her biewers on puppyfind, she's NOT a puppymill, and there are other good breeders off this site that also sell theirs on there.

Well I guess I will jump in here. When I first started with the Biewers, I met many wonderful folks through Puppyfind....I learned about the breeders in Germany, in Russia, and here in the U.S. I learned about all the different registeries and show venues through Puppyfind. I learned that there are both good and bad folks on Puppyfind, sometimes there are bad folks here on YT and other times I have made friends long before someone buys a puppy or dog from me. I learned about the pedigrees. And I learned to ask so many questions whether I'm buying or I'm selling.

I have always had an open invitation for anyone to come and meet Team Furry- -and many of you have been to my home. I own no kennels, all my dogs in my home sleep in our bed. I usually have one or both of the parents in my home for visitors to see--there are no secret places for me to stash puppies or dogs. I do reference checks on my buyers, google earth to see where you live and most of my buyers are either referrals, other breeders, come from YT, or repeat customers.

I think that Puppyfind, a referral, a website, a dog show ALL can be the right place to meet a breeder. I don't refer folks to stores that sell animals.

Ask to talk to the breeder's references, vet, past buyers...after all a good breeder is going to have as many questions of you as you should have for them.....

And if you have a red flag or two--don't buy from them.....just as I go with my gut if the buyer seems to raise my red flags......

Best advice, is get a referral from someone who has a dog you like....

Thank you scrapin that is what I was trying to say I know there are good and bad on that site... My only concern was this puppy mill and trying to stop them from being able to or want to run adds there. I didnt start this thread to start another fight on YT or to be made to feel stupid because I was uninformed and bought from a puppy mill. I would never again but yes it was my bad to do so before. Doesnt mean I would not like to save the puppies that are still there.

Oh, now I see... You always mention about puppy mills, while I am speaking about backyard breeders too. I haven't say ALL puppy mills there. Another part are backyard breeders:D, or just those who are not so reputable. You have wrong idea about reputable breeders, this is clear:cool:.
I am not surprised. Just a few days ago, I was listening some of those, who called themselves reputable breeders, however, their kennels include 60 + dogs, they sell them to pet stores and online (yep, puppyfind, craigslist, kijji, whatever). They called themselve reputable breeders. No comments:D. If they feel better about themselves that way, that's fine:D, who cares, they are still not:thumbdown.

I am not here to fight with you or anyone else. I come to YT to be educated and meet other Yorkie lovers. I have said numerous times I just want to do my part but it seems to me you insist on wanting me to feel stupid for buying from them. I am sorry dont mean to be rude but I have seen u do this to others on different threads. It is not pleasant and you really should stop. We are not stupid or uneducated people. We rescued our Chihuahuas from a Puppy Mill.It made the News and everything.In all 56 dogs were rescued,we adopted our two chis from the Shelter that took them in.They can be very unhealthy and need lots of care.Good luck on your puppy I hope he grows up without any problems.We got Jasper (our Yorkie baby)from my Aunt in Indiana she breeds her females with different studs every other year.Jasper was the last liter my aunt was going to do she was retiring her two females after 4 yrs. of breeding them.Jasper is so spoiled and we are grateful to be able to get him.He has brought a lot of joy into our lives.

Alot of the points that you are making are VERY good points. I admire that you are educating people about puppymills and bad breeders, but I think that if you posted in a nicer way (not so condenscending) people would be more willing to listen to you. :)

You know what I think all you do is try to start fights on here. I am not stupid and I have read those sites and I have contacted those people so get a life I am sorry but I have had enough of your condensending opinions. Please excuse my anger everyone else.:mad:

BTW I live in Missouri not Penn. and the laws are different here!

I am sorry I lost my temper at the one poster but in my defense I feel that instead of critisizing we should be trying to do all we can to help close down these horrible places. omichka, I know you are very earnest and devoted to your quest to conquer all the puppy mills & BYBs..No one on here would deny that, or say you are uneducated... and we all feel basically the same way about it as you do.... but your tact and anger can really turn people off...It makes me very tense to read a thread that I know you are posting in.....Everyone is entitled to their own veiw-point even if it is not specifically what you believe to be right.

Just wanted to say I am sorry for losing my cool. But it seems like every post I see Omak post in she is putting people down. She may be a very nice person but there are those of us who feel bad for buying from what we later found out was a puppy mill now we just want to see them stopped and do all we know to do. Thanks for making us aware of the puppy mill. Maybe admin. would let us have a place that we can post when we find a puppy mill.

I bet the consumer reports newsperson at your local news station would be mighty interested in this. I know those stories always break my heart. It's a good way to try to get the local community involved in shutting them down.

I did write a letter to the editor of our newspaper but unfortunately they didn't print it. I will see what I can do about the news broadcasts hadnt thought about that. Thank you.:animal-pa

[B] I didn't read all of Omak's posts but the post I did read I do think he or she is trying to make a difference. It gets very frustrating when you are trying to educate and shut these places down. I know that sometimes I can be friendlier when educating or posting but as I said it is very frustrating, especially when you see how these dogs are living and there is not much you can do for them but educate people to stay away from these places. My first Yorkie came from a similiar place - not quite as large but just as filthy. Like you I didn't really know anything about mill ect. We had him ten years before losing him to cancer. He's the reason I got so involved with rescue and educating and trying to put these places out of business. You too can make a difference by doing what you are doing and sharing your story. Also, by getting involved and learning all you can about places like these and educating others to prevent them from making the same mistake. I wish you well with your pup. Elaine

I believe petfinder will stop listing puppies from sellers if they are shown to be puppy mills. Does puppyfind have any option like this?

To the OP, thank you for posting about this puppymill breeder. It is good to pass the word about bad breeders. It does help to let people be aware of any bad breeder and puppy mills.

I think most of us need to remember that not everybody is on the computer all the time, they may only get online when they visit their local library. They may be searching for a pet and of course these online places often come up in their searches.

Not everyone is as passionate about dogs as most of us are. Getting the word out is key and hopefully for every post made about a puppymill will stop at least one person from buying from one.

I hope your puppy will bring you many years of joy.

Just wanted to say to omichka I read another post and saw that you had said you to had gotten your furbaby from a puppy mill and would never do so again so wanted to say maybe if you would state that first before giving all the info on puppymills we wouldnt feel like we were being talked down to. I am sorry I lost my cool. I just feel so strongly about this now as do you and am also trying to do my part. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Now that I know that you were duped as I was what you said makes more sense to me.;)

She is pathetic, dirty, scared and so very sad. Now I have to think of her all night.

Exactly my feeling am sick because I opened the link and looked. I never do either for just that reason. I feel so helpless and wish there was something I could do.
