The mom to the puppies has a cute face actually she has a beautiful face. What is the reason on Bentley? Did you ask? There are some really nice people here on YT post a ad on here telling people what you are looking for and you will receive plenty of puppy pictures.

Is this her site she has a little boy available down below that is his mom's picture....then you stroll down and she has a little boy named Bentley that is for sale $500 because he will not be able to be registered until 6 months of age.
So I was wondering why that is on Bentley

Hey if this is her, get one of the ladies to look over her contract.......personally I wouldn't sign it unless she changed a few things, mainly the knees...that makes me wonder on that. I am not a breeder, so it could be a normal contract that they all use. I know mine never stated that one.

Why don't you just P.M her, she is a member here. I find that the breeders on YT are very friendly, and have no problem with answering any question. Her puppies are very cute.:)

If you are looking for a puppy, put a post in the for sale area, many of the breeders on here will be more than happy to help you out.

i have met Nicki personally and she is an excellant breeder with some very nice dogs. She has my Renegade from the Crosswinds line and Ch. Pied Piper. She has several nice lines. She is honest and forthright and cares very much for her dogs. She is a member here and is very easy to reach so why don't you just email her with your questions. I'm sure she will answer them honestly. her contract on the legs are pretty much standard. puppies injure themselves everyday and she does cover grade 4 which is almost surely genetic if it happens. That little girl on her website Fiona, is out of Renegade. I have kept three of his girls before I sold him and one at seven months old attained her championship title and the other two will go into the ring in 2009. They have both already been in puppy matches in a show.

Dee is that common on contracts..........or is it what everyone should have stated on contracts. Because I always hear what does your contract state when they discuss their knees? People on YT even state get it in writing. Now I am confused.........anyway that little girl (MOM)is beautiful

yes it is. Most breeders only cover a grade four LP. i need to put that in mine but just haven't got around to it. I have learned that a grade 4 is "usually" genetic while anything less can be due to an injury. heck, I have only just learned how to edit my site.

I have spoken to her and I am thinking about getting Fiona. I just like to see what people think about a breeder. I know everyone will always give you references and those references are always positive, so I like to try to find other people who have dealt with her and see what they thought and the overall health with the puppy. BTW--renegade is a beauty!!!!

Fiona is very pretty.......but oh Tiny Presley is something to look at with her dark coloring. Very small it seems.

I try to be as fair as I can with my contract and pups are vet checked before they leave. If something develops that is clearly genetic and causes the puppy pain then I would never leave someone out in the cold with a puppy in terrible health. I simply put that in the contract because LP can be caused by injury, and I would want the puppy to be rechecked by the buyer's vet and my vet to determine if it was thought to be from injury (by xrays, any other breaks or bruises, etc.) or if it was thought to be genetic. I am as fair with buyer's as I possibly can be and am always honest and up front about what I know concerning the pups, their parents, and their lines.

I have all my pups are checked for knees and heart,lungs ears, etc before they go to their new home. If a slight lp was found by my vet, I would disclose that at the time of sale and discount the pup. Sometimes on young pups the muscles can tighten up as they grow and the lp can go away, however, it could also get worse as the pup grows, so it would be up to the buyer if they wanted to take a chance. It is very standard not to cover for lp after the pups goes to the new home, because it can be caused by injury. I would be more concerned by not covering a heart murmur, that can be found right away on young pups. If it's a very mild one they usually go away as the pup gets older, but I think it should be covered. JMO

Oh I didn't realize that LP can be caused also by injury...........I am new about this. I so think that little Mom yorkie on the available puppy page is so BEAUTIFUL. I am sorry if I offended you by raising questions about the contract........I have researched but still do not know enough about yorkies, but I am glad I ask so the next time I am ready I will not run for the hills over a contract with that in there.

My pups are also vet checked before they leave, and my vet is very thorough...he listens to heart and lungs, and recently I have started doing a blood panel on all pups before I let them go as well just to be on the safe side and so that everyone can get a better feel for the overall health of the puppy. A heart murmur is absolutely something that would be checked for during the exam and if he found one that would immediately be disclosed. I know that some of them can improve as the puppy grows, but if the buyer still want the pup with the murmur after they were informed about it, the price would be at a large discount, absolutely. I have never heard of a heart murmur showing up later, so I think the vet would find it during the initial exam. If anything genetic that is a serious condition shows up later, it would not be a problem at all to work with the buyer and do whatever is fair and the right thing to do. I am mostly concerned with things that are a choice, such as giving a shot I don't recommend that is known to be dangerous, or letting the puppy jump off a couch and its leg breaking, etc. or something that is not a pain-causing issue like a small fault (bite goes off, earset is off, something like that). That is mostly what I am trying to convey in my contract. If something is MY fault or it is something genetically wrong with the pup, I have no problem working with the buyer in any way. Most of my contract is taken from little bits and pieces of other good contracts I have run across, I change it every so often when I realize something needs to be different, etc. Thank you for pointing that out because a heart murmur IS something that I would cover! :D Sorry for the confusion!

Oh no no, you didn't offend me at all! I was just explaining it a little better, I am still learning myself every single day. I do the absolute best that I can to make sure that people are happy with my pups and I am always willing to work with buyers. If there is a specific issue with something in the contract then I am definitely willing to work with a buyer to ammend it in a way that is fair for both of us. I think most of it is pretty standard, but I have no problem being reasonable and changing things around if needed! :D

I know contracts are a hard thing. :p You want to be fair, but you can't cover everything for the life of the dog. I change mine every so often too. I didn't mean to pick on your contract, but the heart murmur jumped out at me. I have read some of your posts, and you alway seem to be a honest caring person. :) take care

Oh no problem, I appreciate you calling it to my attention because that is definitely something that needed to be changed. I just fixed it in the contract on my site and in my files. You're right, they are very very difficult to do, you want to be as fair as you possibly can but it's incredibly difficult to make the right decisions to put in there sometimes, and you are constantly trying to fix it to make sure you do the right thing! Thank you, I do try to be 100% honest when it comes to my babies because I want them to go to the right homes the first time. It's so hard for them when they have to suffer, it's not their fault. I want everyone to know everything up front, I think that is the only way to do things. Everyone makes mistakes but what makes you a better person is learning from those mistakes and not making them again! Thanks everyone! :D

I am so sorry I did not mean to put you and your practice on the spot like this. I was asking only about the LP only. The heart murmur I understand because the lower grades sometimes go away, what is it class 3 or higher they have to have something done. The main important thing is you give the option to the buyer if this was the case and they take the chance. You know I see it this way if you know Dee and have her lines I consider you what some here in KY I have learned is called is "good people". LOL. I just love all of the babies and of course the mama's and Daddy's.

Actually, Nicki only has Renegade from me. he is not my line but from the Crosswinds line. I bought him as a puppy and raised him. I bred him twice and kept three of his beautiful girls to continue his line here at my house.:)

Presley is very unique, I've never had one look quite like her. I've also never had one this tiny and I have to watch her like a hawk! Most of the time she rides around with me in my pocket or on my shoulder, so now putting her down to play or eat is like pulling hens teeth. She will scream at me until I pick her back up...:rolleyes: So now I've created quite the monster! :D:p

Yep, and I'm hopefully doing the same. He has some newborns (a litter of 5) and I am looking for a girl to keep out of this litter...keeping my fingers crossed that they are gorgeous.

Now that I have his ?cousin? or ?2nd cousin? Piper...from the same lines...Renny is going to a wonderful pet home where he will be spoiled rotten to live out the rest of his life!! He is such a sweet boy and I'm really going to miss him, but this is the right thing for him. He is sitting under my feet right now in his blue monkey pajamas all curled up in a ball...lol...:D

Oh and forgot to say...Someone emailed me about Bentley that was on my site...he can't be registered due to an issue with the stud owner...he was the only puppy in the litter and he is only pet quality anyways...so it is no big deal and he will make someone a wonderful cuddle baby that is just looking for a pet to love. I just got a confirmation a couple minutes ago that I think he has found a good home with a friend who just lost her baby...sorry for the confusion, I should have made it more clear on the site. All of my other babies are AKC...:p

That is pretty much the standard warranty and an example of what I call a loop hole warranty.

I can assure you that there is no intended "loop hole" there...I was trying to convey, and hope that I have, in my contract and on this thread, that if the puppy has a genetic defect, it will be covered. Do you have any suggestions for wording it differently? :p

It is simple, remove the loop hole by allowing the buyer the option of keeping the pup that is affected with the genetic defect. I did not at all state that you or anyone w/ this type of warranty is intending to cheat anyone w/ the "loop-hole" in the contract, but everyone knows that most buyers will not give up a pup that they have had for a while if it is diagnosed w/ some genetic defect that seriously affects it's life. Most buyers will opt to keep the pup and therefore will not get the replacement of a healthy pup. (The unintended "loop hole". If the buyer has the option of keeping the pup they will more likely contact the breeder if there is a serious problem for a healthy pup and the sick pup will still be in a loving home with the ones that have fallen in love with him. I would not at all knock you for your warranty as we know, alot of breeders give no warranty at all, but I have read a lot of post on this forum and others and see that almost everytime the buyer elects to keep the sick pup, which nullifies the warranty.
