Just checking in to see if there's an update from the OP. I hope everything was resolved for both parties.

After this length of time, I'm thinking the OP is either too embarrassed to come back and admit her mistake, or doesn't care that she started this thread and left everyone wondering. The first reason I could understand, if it's the 2nd reason - :thumbdown

I think this is the OP's way, more or less, of saying she did get the right puppy. She is probably too embarrased to come back on.

I feel she should have been more patient and talked to Glenda before she posted anything. I know puppies can look a lot different in pictures than they do in person. I just hope the little one has settled down and is adjusting well.

That this has even occurred. Someone told me once......it you type it and send it.....its OUT THERE. I am thankful that I have a handful of experienced breeders that will help me when I have CRAZY questions......lol....and I wish that this OP would have gotten someone here on the phone to talk to.....did a search for this line, sent an PM to someone who could help answer her questions......all this while waiting for Glenda to contact her.

Unfortunately, I believe this OP is young and does not realize the damage that has been done.

She's new to this forum! We all make mistakes! She was upset, disappointed & had asked for advice here before. I say, let's give her a break.....give her the benefit of the doubt.....that she jumped to conclusions before thinking things through. She had an 11 yr old son, so she is a mature young lady, I would think. None of us know the whole story. If in fact, the wrong dog was sent to her, of course she'd be upset. It could have been a mix up. If not, maybe she had never considered some of the things that were mentioned here......such a long plane trip for a little baby. Let's discuss without cruelty. Everyone has there own opinions.....and that's great because it makes us all stop & think, but let's make it a place where everyone feels Welcome to do so. Hope she comes back to tell the whole story!

Thank you everyone for your concern for this puppy. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had my vet look him over and he is indeed a puppy and not an adult as Glenda's vet had told me.

Glenda and I did contact each other and I have apologized to her for jumping the gun. As far as appearance, he has change quite a bit since the last pic she sent me. The paperwork and what her vet had told me didn't help ease my frantic state either.

I'm sure some of you can understand and get freaked out too if you just spent a pretty large some of money, something didn't seem right and being unable to get a hold of anyone. All in all, it was a terrible misunderstanding.

In the meantime, my attention has been on taking care of the puppy as he was very shaken up from the airplane ride and scared of his new surroundings. Glenda and I have been in contact with each other to try to get him to eat and drink and come out of his shell.

He's doing much better now, but will still take some time. He's eating and playing, but still on the nervous side. He loves following you around, cuddling by your feet, being tickled, laying on the sofa with you while you watch tv, but yet still scared and shaky when you pick him up and still likes to hide in his crate or underneath something. I also gave him a nice warm bath, so he is much fresher smelling and better looking than when he came from the airplane ride.

Right now, he is my utmost priority. The kids love him too, so I have helpers (when they're not playing video games).

Knowing what I know about Glenda, I knew it must have been a error somewhere.....and it sounds like she is working with you to get the puppy acclimated.

If the thread had been deleted prior to the OP coming back & posting, it would be very sad for YT forum. I'm very glad she came back with her story. She explained and we welcome her @YT! Again, she's new to the forum. Let's move on. She's talked, explained, and apologized with Glenda, the breeder. If only we "all" could do things with insight to the future, but we're all Human.

Agreed, but if the moderator removes this thread, it will not appear in future internet searches where the searcher may only see the complaint, unless they go through many replies. Yorkie Baby should ask the moderator to remove the thread to make things right.

i agree. even closing the thread will help, so that it won't resurface, would be fair. I don't know the OP or the breeder, but the point is not to perpetuate false statements on a reputable site here. i endorsed deletion or closing the thread NOT to punish or chastise to OP or anyone. new or not, we all make mistakes. it's just unfortunte that searches for the breeder will bring up the original post, but people won't necesarily read the whole thread for the full story.

Then I would think it should be the OP's call. The majority of posts on this thread were welcoming and offering advice in a non-judgmental tone. We are here to support YT members, right? You could also look @this as a "learning" experience for all.

Ultimately it's the moderators call. Even if OP requests the thread be deleted, it may or may not be deleted. It's a good learning experience for YT members, but I don't think it's good for the breeder, even though she gets lots of positive support from YT members. Remember someone with a good reputation's livelihood and reputation is involved, and I think this trumps our learning experience.

Yes, I realize everything you just mentioned.:) If the moderators take a look @this per someone's request, then ball's in their court. I googled & had a hard time finding any negativity, (including this one) but it can be found, I'm sure it's possible. It was cleared up though! I was considering purchasing a pup from an out-of-state breeder, and the subject breeder was at the top of my list. After reading this thread, it may never happen. I still hold the subject breeder in high regard, but I'd be very concerned about the shipping of my pup.

Getting the wrong pup due to an honest mixup would be a "disaster". This would likely mean that two people got the wrong pup.

Also, if the pup is not recognizable when it arrives, think about what the poor little pup experienced during the trip.

The good news is that pups, according to the Dog Whisper, live in the moment, and would hopefully forget the experience once they realized they were in a loving, permanent home.

I think what happened to the OP is exactly the reason alot of breeders do not want to ship their puppies. Unfortunately, this stuff does happen.

I think it would take alot more than this to tarnish this experienced breeder's reputation. She knows and is known by many. All I can say is that anyone getting a dog from this kind of breeder is "lucky".

I agree with YorkichonBella that this thread does not need to be closed or deleted. If the thread had been closed people would have wondered what did happen. Frankly, I read this thread but I don't know that I would have looked through the rest of the site for a "new" thread to find out the conclusion. It's right where it should be - where it started. We expect people who post in the "sick" threads to post outcomes there - why wouldn't we expect to find out the result here?

I applaud the OP for coming back, after she took care of her new baby, and posting what the end result was. That was actually the best testament of all - for her and the breeder! :thumbup:

This is the best I could do as far as his picture. He moves alot and most of the pics I tried to take were blurry. He is a cutie pie and coming out of his shell more and more each day. He still doesn't care to be carried (especially if you cradle him like a baby - it's like torture to him) He has a very sweet personailty, otherwise. We named him "Katsu", but my 3 year old pronounces it "Cashew".

He is sooo Cute....Love his little face!! I bet he feels like a little fluff ball. So glad u posted his pic to share. Hugs Katsu!!:hug:
