She is a scam
 

Well I can even start to tell you how many of us there are.. a little over 33 to be exact.. so I have been told. The story is the same with everyone she did the same thing. She would send the same picture to everyone and say that was their puppy. And when it came close to shipment you heard every excuse in the book.. she was sick, her husband was sick, the dogs were sick. I bought 2 dogs from her about 6 months and I am still trying to get my money back. The best luck is with Linda Davis with the att gen office in miss. So far she has no assets, her cars are rented. So everyone that she has sold dogs to don't live any where near her. They are trying to decide if they want to go criminaly or allow her make a payment plan. So yes there is a list. Still seeing that there are so many more or us in november it was 12 there are still more, I know. It is sick.. Amy

Out of curiosity, what is the complaint? Is it that she is not refunding the money or is it that she's running a puppy mill? Like I posted before, she has a contract on her website. It's agregious, but it's a contract nonetheless...did no one who bought puppies from this woman read it?

Well the thing is she has changed that contract since everyone started to complain. She was going to send two dogs 5 days before christmas. Stoped returning my emails all that she would say is that they were sick and couldn't ship. And then the flights got cancled and so forth, but when I asked for my refund I was I never got an answer. That is why I got futher action taken.

Is it possible that she had you meet her at someone else's home? It's just a thought that I had. If she is indeed running a puppy mill, the last thing she would do is invite a buyer into her home. If all of the previous post are true, which I feel they are, then what she is doing would make her a thief at best. I would think anyone who is making a living out of scamming people has most likely found away to cover up her shady operation. I say all of that to say that maybe you only saw what she wanted you to see. It also sounds to me like she could be a "puppy broker" where she buys pups cheeper and sells for a profit. I do know that this type of activity is becoming a very common practice.

I got an email from Tinydarlings and she found all the complaints that I had posted about her. She wasn't very happy. I simply told her that she brought this upon herself. If things turned out differently, then of course, there would be no reason for me to warn everyone. I am not the only person she has done this to. I've found soooooo many websites complaining about her. I know that the district attorney's office is "working" on getting everyone's money back. It's just going to take time.

I'm glad to her that Ringo didn't have to go through what I (and so many others) had to go through. I think the main reason why you got yours was because you were not "out of state" like most of us.

Looks like you've gotten her attention! I'd keep the pressure on -- even turn up the heat a bit!

I'm sitting here at work reading all these complaints about her and reading complaints on other websites. I totally agree, she is such a horrible person. Really, how could she wake up and face herself in the mirror knowing that she took money from innocent people, taking advantage of the fact that they put trust in her from different states, and like BBTRINNA, taking money from people who want to buy their daughters, sons, etc. puppies. So horrible. I really think we need to just bombard her with e-mails of disgust. :mad:

WOW! :eek: I am sitting back reading over the posts in that web site also, my goodness. I do hope Jan learns how to go down that road called "ethics, morals, and honesty" before she hurts a lot of people and pets. :mad:

A Fantastic Breeder
 

I got my Bouncer from Dianne Bradley. She used to live here in town (Chattanooga, TN), but recently moved to Palm Coast, Florida. She does have a website (http://www.yorkiepark.com). She raises her yorkies in her home just like her own children and doesn't overbreed. I'm actually getting my female yorkie from her later on in this summer. Her phone number is on the website, as well as her e-mail address. I am not sure if she ships puppies or not. I believe she does as I know out-of-town people have gotten dogs from her. You might check though. Her yorkies are great though. Great look, color, temperment. Just adorable! I highly recommend getting in touch with her. Hope that helps!

I guess I was one of the lucky ones, I did receive my two yorkies from Jan at Tinydarlings. I was afraid I wouldn't for a while as I had some of the same problems, but I received them. Healthy and well socialized. However, I've had them for 5 weeks today and still waiting on their papers.

Sorry, I am not taking to time to read the all the posts before I respond, but I wanted to say that you can say WHATEVER you want about her. It is only slander or defamation of character if it is NOT true. To put my thoughts bluntly, this sucks. Definitely contact the national BBB and the local branches of the BBB in your state and her state (if they're different). My next step would be to present the supporting material, like receipts for the puppies, airline confirmations for the one your received and anything else, such as correspondance with her that may be helpful.

Jan is so funny. On every web site she always tries to defend herself until the water gets too hot and she bails out. The thing is she wil never understand what she is doing is wrong. There obviously has to be something wrong if there are 33 other people and that is just since december? I bet she spend all the money in Mexico.. ;) haha. It is really sad, but all I can try and do is laugh about it now. that is the reason why she has to set up a payment plan that will take FOREVER IF we get our money back.

Wow, you guys. Just to let you guys know, JAN RESPONDED TODAY!

She seems pretty upset but she deserve what's comin' to her! And I hope it's coming and coming hard. I hate people like that. She says she DOES use the money sent to her for puppies on "vet fees" but I'm sure she sells her dogs for hundreds, maybe even thousands.. since when did those puppies have to be so sick as to have hundreds or thousans on VET BILLS? I THINK NOT. I hope she goes to hell, sorry for language. But her response made me angry. What kind of person is she? GOSH! :mad:

I have problems buying SCHOOLBOOKS of the internet, i certainly wouldnt buy a puppy, i wouldnt be able to see the breeders home/living condition... ect.... buying a puppy from a breeder is a gamble any way you look at it, but to buy off the internet is setting yourself up for people to take advantage of you. A lesson learned in life is that you are there so other people can take advantage, any buyer has to question whether the person they are buying from is worthy of their buisness.... people, please! RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH.... These problems with her have been around for a while, BEFORE december... i am nto smashing anyone , but you really need to know who you are buying from.
I bought my puppy from a guy who (according to millecoralles) is a shady breeder as well.... but i looked online for anything about him and i foudn nothing, no complaints.... thankfully it worked out ok for me....
Anyone that is thinking of buying a puppy, run the name of teh breeder through the internet and see what other tidbits of info you can pick up BEFORE you commit to a buy, jan's name has been smeared for a while now, her name has been online way before these people got ripped off, maybe more thorough research could have avoided the problem

My heart goes out to the people who were scammed. I hope they find a resolution quickly.

Whom ever uses the screen name asiatic on Terrificpet.com said everything that I have wanted to say. The sad thing is I thought I did research well. I talked to for a while like last June.. Oh well... :(

haha, "asiaitic" is me. I got hostile, unintentionally. I signed up to tell her about her horrible business, but I ended up typing out a storm. It turned into a novel, but I just couldn't help it! It makes me angry just thinking about someone that could do that to so many people and she's trying to justify her reasons for doing it. Ripping people off has no justification, regardless of what excuses or numbers she throws out there! Argh! :mad: :thumbdown

been reading alot about this person and i cant believe some of the things Im hearing. shes a crook! theres lots of stuff about her on other sites. i think all the people scammed by her in these sites should get together and do something to stop her. i know some things are being done to collect your money but she should be stopped too. shes never going to stop the moneys to good. look at how much she's made off you guys aready.

This is to advise that we anticipate entering a settlement agreement with Jan Reinhart d/b/a Tiny Darlings pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. 75-24-27(g) by the end of this month. This agreement will require Ms. Reinhart to make
full restitution to her customers; with scheduled restitution payments being made to this office which will then be distributed proportionately until everyone has been refunded in full. The settlement agreement will be enforceable in a court of law should it be breached. If, for some reason, we do not enter the settlement agreement then we may still proceed to trial.

I will provide more details once the agreement has been finalized.

Yes, I did. Apparently, they have shut down her site.

unfortunately they havent shut her site down at all:( Acording to Jan on another forum,she was only having it updated and Iv just checked and its up and working.She said she has changed her contract etc to suit new customers,but in my eyes she is still a con artist and a crook.I have no idea how she is staying in buisness,but whilst she is,I think its everyones job to inform others so that things like this stop happening.

I almost was tricked by this tinydarlings website a few months back. After I found this thread. I got so much info on this woman. People getting scamed out of the 1000s of dollars to have a yorkie of their own but some of these online breeders are just in it for the money not the quauilty of letting a person have the pleasurable company of a yorkie no just for the $$$$. And that makes me very mad.

I been looking for a yorkie for about a year now I was almost tricked these so called breeders. With too many high prices and people are willing to pay from 2000-8000+ for this beautiful creatures. Puppymills, petstores, online breeders,brokers, and such but no one doing a thing about it. I think people should search on the breeder check with some customers to see if this breeder is good.

I really don't want to buy a yorkie online. I rather search find a breeder in my area than waste all of my money on a puppy I probably will not get. Plus all of these stories of people buying tea-cup, mini, and other types of Yorkies for very very high prices. There is no such thing there is only one type of yorkie period. And many people have said that their puppy was sick or it wasn't the same puppy in the picture. I recommend you vist the breeder in person and see the parents, their surroundings, and such. Because a good breeder wouldn't mind if you visted them in person.

Also, I rather pick up my puppy in person because I think its cruel to let a puppy to ride in a plane in a carrier at a very young age and maybe it may get sick on the airplane. No offense. Many people have did it but I am just suggesting. I hope someone will stop this. :mad: Also from the forum someone suggested early you should read the contract and also recieve the registered papers with the puppy before you even walk out the door. Plus I heard about some unreputable(sp) breeder holding the papers hostage for more $$$ that is very mean. That is why I want have the paper in my hand before I leave.

Then theres were some compliants about a suppose be a purebred yorkie but is mixed or supposed to be a yorkie but another breed instead, just like I said earlier I think you should see the puppy first. Then what makes me PO is that people a recieving sick puppies and caring for them and paying vet bills well I think the breeder should be paying the bills since it was there responsible to make the puppy healthy and make the customer happy. Also one breeder as recieve some more complaint I think that they will be going to court or something. And will be refunding customers money or something like that.

Now I guess I am one of the lucky ones from purchasing a puppy from a petstore because I got my Baby Jane(poodle/schnauzer) there. She wasn't sick but I think she I had Kennel Cough though. But she is healthy now. Anyway some unreputable breeder who don't know a thing about the breed. I mean anyone can put two dogs together and bred them. But you have to search on both parents which I know some of you know this pedigree. If you bred two parents without researching then there will probably be genetical disorder the breeder or you would know about. But it was probably appear in the early or later stages of it life.

well this thread is a few years old but i would love to hear an update on what has happened. Did all the buyers get their money back?
