Ok...so in my search for a puppy, I came across ArizonaYorkiesBreeders.com. I was looking through the pups and came across pups I knew were from Starmye. I doubled checked her site and was right! I'm a bit confused though...she lives in Oklahoma, so how can she be on their site? Is that site even allowed to do that?? Or is this site just a whole scam??? LoL! Craziness!! |

FTC Merchandise Rule This is a link to the Federal Trade Commission's website discussing its rules regarding internet orders. Rules include when refunds must be made, including when shipment is delayed or a buyer cancels. The Act is titled "Mail or Telephone Order Merchandisse Rule"; but, it applies to internet sales (as you'll see in the discussion--and in recent cases in which it was applied). I must be the only one that was not in the least impressed with the website and even the first page had red flags but we all live and learn. The first puppy I ever bought with my own money was from a pet shop so as time goes by you learn more. I hope we can do something to stop this woman, I do think this thread has really helped and we should keep bumping it up. |

Are dogs considered "merchandise" like that? |
just a heads up if you are new to some of this...the ozegirl story has changed several times..i couldnt locate all the posting she made previously..but i even commented once so i remember some of things and in one she was a business partner who visited 5 times a week, another a babysitter...now she says she is just a customer buying 3 on this post and just one pup on another...apparently there are more bad the good reviews and any one who has read the info or googled the breeder would be crazy to purchase a puppy...i dont know the person never emailed, looked at the site nothing..but there are soooo many complaints that i dont know how she is still in business its not ok to have 90 dogs just because you have a lot of land...its not ok to make a business out of manufacturing dogs..this is just my opinion not a fact but it sounds like the breeder had no other education except the birds and the bees and decided to put that knowledge into dog breeding. it is inumane to treat dogs or other animals in that manner. a real honest to goodness education and career would be better |
I just purchased (July 2009) a male from Starmye and couldn't be happier. I am within driving distance and picked him up personally. She was more than accomodating to us. When I couldn't get my puppy to eat, I called her at 6:30am and she insisted that I bring him back to her. I took him back and she kept him for another week. She nursed him back to health and took him to the vet (I was given a copy of the record) at her own expense. I might have fallen for a lot of the negative posts except I saw where the puppies are raised and was very impressed. It is truly a family business and they are very good people, in my opinion. She has called to check on him after I picked him up. He is a happy healthy puppy. I have taken him to my vet and had him checked out thoroughly. He was given a clean bill of health. Our family loves him and would recommend Starmye anytime based on our experience. I am interested in knowing when your puppies were purchased. I see so much negative talk about them being a puppy mill but all by people who apparently have not visited their kennel. All the reports of 93 dogs I have seen are dated from 2000. Anyone know how many she has currently? I hate that anyone has had a bad experience but maybe the Halpain's have learned from their mistakes. Going out on a limb, I think we have all made stupid mistakes when it comes to taking care of pets or even people for that matter. I too would be furious if I was not offered a reasonable resolution after receiving a sick puppy. I can empathize with you. People do change and learn from their mistakes in life and in business. Maybe you should not be so harsh unless you can find legitimate documentation that their kennel is a puppy mill and their puppies are not well taken care of at this time. I am no family friend but thought I would post my experience for what it's worth. |

Ultimate Pupplies I am so upset and shocked that I don't even no where to begin. I purchased a beautiful Yorkie that is the love of my life. My every thing....... I recently found out that he had PRA. PRA is a rential degeneration and leads to blindness....... This gene is carried by one or both of the parents..... My dog was purchased from Ultimate Puppies. They obviously don't care about the dogs they breed or this would have never happened. I want to spread the word "PLEASE DONT BUY A PUPPY FROM THEM" God only knows what you will end up with. If they were responsible breeders they would have never breed or let alone sold any animals with any gentic conditions. They need to be held accountable and I want to know who I can report them to. They need to be put out of business NOW before anyone else can be harmed. Can anyone help me or suggest anythings I can do..... THIS IS GOING TO BE A LIFE MISSION OF MINE..... I follow through on everything I set out to do and I am only just getting started. Thank you |
