I learned of Loretta Yorkies about two year ago when someone posted a ugly comment on my website. I did some research and found out people were saying some really bad things about her.

I have not changed my domain name because I have it on business cards, pens, keychains, tote bags, etc.

What I have learned from this experience is to research a domain name before purchasing it.

You do realize this is a 3 year old thread, right? And while I agree that there are a lot of important things in the world, I happen to believe that helping others avoid the heart ache that comes from purchasing from a broker or a bad breeder is something that should be promoted. Wouldn't you agree that this is all about making sure the pups that go in to homes are well cared for, bred from the best stock and not being bred to death by less than reputable people?


I won't even touch your comment about supporting CKC and APRI, the registries of choice for puppymills.:)

I'm also just in awe of how you can know she's a loving breeder based upon her posts here. Omniscience. It's a wonderful thing.

I'm always amazed when a new person joins and Their very first post is always in defense of some fool breeder who shouldn't be breeding.

im sorry to say I just bought a puppy from her. Didn't know about this sight! I feel disgusted!

her check,i have papers today but now i just want my puppy back...Karen i want my puppy back today,

she has stolen my puppy gave me a $600 dollar check they she has no funds and wont give me back my puppy...
she write checks no money

this women and husband go around area promise to make you a paymens ,,take puppys and don't pay they live in salida don't ever take a check from anyone even how much the promise to pay.
I felt very sorry for them and trusted in them the puppy is akc/dna girl
worth $900 Beware of this couple..they are now trying to use 6yr post

Do you honestly think anyone is going to care that someone's check didn't clear? When will you get the picture that you need to get a real job and stop selling/brokering puppies?

Loretta is the con artist here! Now you want to slander my name? I have a folder so thick of your illegal business the courts would love to see. The police dept and animal control know all about you, not to mention other various organizations and news media. So BRING IT ON LORRETTA!!!!!

I would like to add what little information I have about "Loretta". As we speak, she is being investigated at a much higher level and when I have more information I will certainly post it. I would suggest that anyone who purchased a puppy, sick or not, from Loretta Plise, Plis's, Plusa, Plasa, or Plasae (yes, I've found her spelling her name all the different ways - I am fairly confident - although not positive - that it is Plusa, according to phone records), contact petshoppuppies.org and ask for a free puppy report. They already have her in their files and are waiting for any additional information and/or reports of sick puppies before they investigate further. begged to have a yorkie a wrote a check ttok the puppy
because i felt sorry for she found a small fungas on her back
she then came back to our home we told her she could give the puppy back and i give her back her check instead she asked to hold the check one more week we gave her something to put on the spot to clear plus $100 dollers
to help her..she still only had given me check "NO funds
she went home stoped the check and now will not give me back my puppy..found thid blog from five years ago and useing it to keep our puppy .its very sad that out of the goodness of your heart feel sorry for a sad story that was told, and loving my yorkie so very much and see what joy they can bring to ones life, sometime you want to give someone the same happiness ,,and this what you get..
bottom line she has my puppy and I have no money and no puppy,just another con artist "there is No puppy mill just a family loves all animals and adores our breed yorkie!!!:)

Have you posted your story or are you just using this site for an open yet private argument with someone else? I'm sure if you tell your story we will be better able to help you, but presently I think very few of us understand what you are "getting at"...so without further ado, could you explain this to us????

Hi, I've been posting on this sit about Loretta poise from oak dale. I recently bought a puppy from her that was sick. She told me not to go to vet, but I did any way. My puppy has numerous large bald spots and both ear infected and with mites. Vet said skin has some fungus or ringworm infection. When told the breeder of this she gave me bogus meds to treat it. Told vet, and they said don't use. I then found out from another woman besides this site she was sold a sick puppy recently too. She also had no papers. Researched on here more to find out the so called broker has done this to many people. I reported her to spca, humane society, and animal rescue. She has been under investigation by them. And now madpuppymills.org are looking into. They have found her and her nephew from Oklahoma truly are operating a unlicensed breeder of their own puppy mill. Therefore have been selling sick puppies for years to innocent people like me. That's why she's not getting her money or puppy back!

Ok, got it- Thank you! Apparently you could scrape the bottom of a septic tank with this one...but, can I say, I too have been a victim, you have to do it the right way...

You do have a contract, you should get her in to small claims court, you should definitely follow through, I understand what you have done and why; however, two wrongs never ever make a right...in the end you have a puppy you love and she probably owes you money??

Care to post the contract you signed with her???

That is funny in a way. My puppies were all genetically tested bred by my own carefully selected stock and raised to a minimum of 12 weeks with their moms here in my home and never shipped anywhere. Unlike your puppies that are shipped to you at 5 weeks old. I have not had any puppies for sale in over a year. So I guess it is time for you to stop brokering and get a real job per your own words. So sad . Her website looks so legimet it's hard not to try to contact her :( hopefully they get what they deserve soon :thumbup:

Give it up, you've met your match with Karen, I'm thinking she's not going to give up until your out of business.....as you should be...You have half a brain and no conscience..those poor pups....

The check didn't just bounce though, she (china lee) put a stop payment it, which means legally, she stole the puppy.....

2 wrongs don't make a right, regardless if the woman is a BYB or not.

MicheleM, I realize that, and I never condone such behavior, I posted this above....theres a right way and a wrong way....I know, been there and done that....the right way...

I'm sure that this will go over like a lead balloon - but the moral of the story here is - Adopt. Don't Shop. Ever.

There are many, many Yorkie rescue groups if you absolutely must have a "pure breed". I believe with all my heart that no one should never purchase a dog when millions of healthy ones are killed every year - Coming back down to reality, I accept the fact that there are those who feel that they absolutely must buy a dog; along with the fact that there ARE reputable, honest, and humane breeders out there. While I still don't agree with it, these reputable breeders play an important role when it comes to the fight against puppy mills and backyard breeders; as they keep the customers out of pet shops and online shops.

Unfortunately, of all the breeders out there, only a minute fraction of them could be considered truly reputable, and the majority of the public (myself once included, as the love of my life is a Yorkie named Princess that I purchased from a pet shop 13 years ago) are uninformed and uneducated when it comes to choosing one. We want that adorable puppy so bad, that we will believe anything that is told to us. If the breeder will not allow you to his/her home where you can see and visit with ALL of her dogs, (puppies and parents), that should be an immediate red flag and cause for you to run. The puppy you bring home may be safe and healthy (for now), but it's mother is more than likely dying in a puppy mill somewhere, and looks something like this (see attachments).

Here is another lead balloon: For the people out there that, for whatever reason choose to BUY their baby from a breeder, you not only have to do YOUR homework on the breeder, you MUST accept responsibility for keeping your precious little baby from ending up like the attachments on the above site. Just one example: DO NOT get a puppy if you know you will be starting a family in 3-5 years and you do not want the dog in the house with the new baby. You have made a committment to this puppy for the life of the puppy, which could be from 10 - 15 years or more! Puppies are surrendered to rescues by people that have made the wrong decision to get a puppy in the first place...they keep the baby until they tire of it, or have other life changes, and they kick it to the curb. THAT IS NOT ANY BREEDERS FAULT. Most reputable breeders, like rescues, mandate the baby goes back to them...owners are embarrassed to follow through with that mandate, so they surrender the baby to a pound or just turn it out.....we have no legal control over what people do with their dogs after they get them...all we can do is try to closely screen buyers, have them sign contracts that include returning the dog to the breeder if ever necessary, microchip the dog and list US as alternate contacts, and hope the buyer lives up to our expectations and their word. Dogs are in rescues because of irresponsible buyers, not ALWAYS irresponsible breeders! "ADOPT...DONT SHOP"???.... BUYERS MUST ACCEPT ACCOUNTABLITY FOR THEIR DECISION TO GET A PUPPY REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY GET IT. BREEDERS CAN NOT BE BLAMED FOR ALL THE DOGS IN RESCUES.
