BEWARE!! Lois Hancock is a fraud in Martinsville, IN FRAUD ALERT!!! I have been reading about all of the HORRIBLE things in reference to Lois Hancock from Martinsville, IN. I just bought a Rat Terrier puppy from her and a day later my cousin and her husband went and bought the brother to my little Noel. Noel seems to be fine with no signs of illness. However, my cousins' puppy, Harley, was taken to the vet because he wasn't eating & didn't have alot of energy and had diarhea. The vet checked him out and said that he has Coccidia, single celled organisms that infect the intestine. The vet prescribed a drug called AlbonŽ to treat the puppy and after a day my cousin says he seems to be a little better. My big issue is how can all of these posts about the woman be out there for the world to see and NO ONE can do anything about it. She needs locked up and those poor dogs need taken away. I felt bad because I referred this FRAUD to my cousin and they now have a sick puppy. The vet said that he doubts that the puppies are 8 weeks old and probably younger than Lois and the shot papers state. I work at a detective agency and I will FIND connections to get something done. This is WRONG. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY DOGS/PUPPIES from LOIS HANCOCK. |
I checked and it is illegal in Indiana to sell a puppy under eight weeks old. Hopefully you can report her and gets something done. |

poor puppies I feel comfort in knowing that myself and my cousin have saved at least 2 puppies. I don't know how she can look at herself in the mirror. I have been given some good advice and I will see where this all leads and keep everyone posted. Pass on the word to people you know about this woman and others like her. :aimeeyork |

Looks like in all her adds that she has only mixes or ckc, not AKC. |
Except for the Yorkie add, but in the rip off report, the people never saw any AKc papers for the pup. So, its possible its the same for the last add, advertises AKC papers but never gives them. |

Very Sad News I have very sad news to report. My cousin's puppy, Harley passed away yesterday (Dec. 26th). He weighed only 6oz while at the vet's office yesterday. This woman HAS got to be stopped. I am going to 'attempt' to get their money back while also informing her that she'll be sued for selling PREEMIE puppies that were NOT 8 weeks old yet and still needed their mother and her milk to survive. The vet said that harley was a preemie and not even close to being away from his mother. My puppy, Noel who is also Harley's sister seems to be in good shape thus far and I would guess is weighing around 2 lbs or better. She eats well and is very active and has not shown any signs of Coccidia. She has an appointment with the same vet tomorrow afternoon. I am going to see if he can tell how old he predicts she really is. Her papers claimed that she was born on October 26, 2007 which would today put her at 8 weeks and one day old. I have had her for 2 weeks now, which would mean that LOIS HANCOCK sold me a 6 week old puppy, ILLEGAL. I will have the vet document this so that I have records and so help me, I will pursue this any possible way I can. I will keep you all posted on what I find out and if anyone has any more suggestions, please advise me. Thank you. |

Wow... So sorry to hear about Harley. What this woman is doing is unexceptable and I really wish you the best of luck in trying to get her shut down. Without this site, there is so much that I would be in the dark about. There are so many out there that do not have/know about YT and doing the research before buying a pup. So, many that buy these pups on impulse or just because its the "trend"... And it just seems like, unless we have more folks like you that are willing to go the distance to stop these people - how will it ever end :confused: |
I would also notify the local animal control and let them know what she is up to. |

I actually spoke to this woman on the phone before I got OTis. She is only about 20 minutes from me, and I was looking for a breeder close to my house. We couldn't coordinate a time for me to come see her pups and she was asking more than I was able to pay. I'm so thankful that I didn't get one of her pups. I'll support whatever the members want to do to get her stopped. All of us Indiana members need to join together and see what we can do to shut this lady down! |

Is Lois Hancock affiliated with Lormar yorkies? does anyone know if Lori Stover from martinsville is a reputable breeder of yorkies? I would appreciate any info or recommendations on which breeders to visit in Indiana. I am looking for a healthy, cute yorkie! |
Her ads have been pulled. Don`t know if she removed them or what. But people like her usally has another plan. Someone down in that area just needs to act like they are interested in a pup an keep checking her out. Maybe take a humane person with u . I know i have a friend that works for our humane society and she said she would go with me on a case i was working on in my area. That way she won`t know they are coming. |

She's still at it!!! She has been doing this since at least 2006. My wife and I bought a yorkie pup from this woman a few weeks ago. When we got there we couldn't bare to leave him with this woman, he wasn't exactly what we wanted but who cares. We probably saved his young life, as she said no one else wanted him!!! I won't go into details other than to say we had the exact same experience as EVERYONE else on this thread! I have reported this woman to PETA, SPCA, Morgan county authorities, as well as ALL the local news stations and news papers. It's horrible that she has been at this all this time and nothing has changed...if we all work together perhaps we can end this atrocity!!! |

Well I'm sitting here in tears I too bought a baby girl from this lady and like everyone else had the exact same experience. But I hate to tell u she still is in business. Luckily mine is perfectly healthy so far but doubt that she is full blooded which I don't care now that I have fell in love with her. Like the other post I knew she wasn't really what I expected but could not leave her there. which I would have been aware of this before I went there. I think part of the problem is some people just want a yorkie to love and cherish not to show and breed, and some of the cost cannot accommodate these people so we think we are really lucky when we find a deal. It always seems it ends with these stories!!! |
