I think you should call your vet... I don't think any of us can answer that one.... (Anybody??) |
ty you all anyway i did call my vet and he told me it was a malformation of its skull and it would die most likely so to go ahead and put it to sleep , but thank so much for trying to help ....... so my sister who delivers pups all the time took it with her to put it to sleep cuz she has the meds to do it, plus i couldnt have anyway would have had to take it to vet im to soft hearted, mommy and the other little 3 oz girl are doing great, im off to bed i will post pics soon as i can... yorkie hugs to you all... |
Im sure the vet knows, but i would of took it in and had it checked first, just to see if there was a chance, dont see how he can say one way or the other over the phone. |
:( Very sad. So sorry you had to deal with that. I am very emotional too but I agree with Yorkieshadow I think I would have taken the baby in to have it looked at, just in case!! |
Awww I\'m sorry this happened |
im so sorry for ur loss |
I am so sorry that you had to deal with the decision of putting the puppy to sleep. Those decisions can\'t be easy to make and I\'m sure you did what you felt was best. Good luck to you, the mama, and the remaining baby. Can\'t wait to see pictures. |
I\'m sorry for the loss of your little girl. |
I\'m sorry to hear about the puppy. :( |
I\'m so sorry about the lost puppy! :( |
Hi Cindy....so sorry to hear about the puppy...just wondering on an update...I would have taken the pup in just to be sure....it\'s hard to go by something over the phone...could it have been just a little bruised from the birthing process...just as it is when we have babies...some have swollen heads, redness on the head, etc. but we don\'t rush to think something\'s permanently wrong....let alone fatal. So I\'m hoping you opted for a 2nd opinion but if not, my prayers go out to you for having to deal with the loss. Good Luck with the female!! Yolanda |
yes the vet met my sister at the clinic and it was malformed skull it was all flat and sunken in on the head area and part of its little brain was what was hanging out on top so sad but he said sometimes that happens for no apparent reason so it wasnt something that i could have prevented, anyway ty all for you help yorkie talkers are the best and ty for the well wishes, mommie and the other baby are doing great, it is so tiny lol my other female is51/2 lbs and he puppies were bigger abouit 4-5 oz lol this mommie is 4 lbs and he little one weighs 2 3/4 oz lol it latching on and sucking good , so im just a nervous new gramdma lol i keep cking on them every few just to make sure everyone is ok, i will get pics posted soon for you all and btw i sure have missed you all, and dixie the other female is due to have puppies dec 1st lol that should be fun this one wont be gone yet and new ones coming lol again ty you all so very much yorkie hugs to you all:yorkietal |
