Hey everyone, I'm new to Yorkietalk and I saw several of your posts regarding someone named CaLiFoRnIaBaBy6,are they a fraud? Should I not try to buy one of their puppies? I've been wanting a male Yorkie to breed with my female Yorkie Pebbles and I lookes on a few of her posts and she does have a male pup for sale. I don't think I should try to buy a dog from her.....

No, you should keep looking but before buying a puppy, you must consider all the things people have told you. Study, study, study and research. There's so much more to breeding that just buying a male to breed to a female...SO much more!

Welcome to Yorkietalk!

I suggest look around and do lots of research before buying a puppy from anyone, anywhere! I would be cautious buying a yorkie-especially from a source online or in the newspaper, and make sure the breeder is credible, and that they have the things in a dog that you're looking for. You might also talk to other people that own and breed yorkies to find out where they got their pups, and find your new breeder by word of mouth. It's much easier in my opinion to go and talk with a breeder in person while the puppies are young, and then come back when they're old enough to go home. That way you can get a feeling about the puppy, the breeder, and you have the option and time to change your mind if something doesn't feel right. I don't breed myself, but you may want to talk with some breeders in your area and/or here on YT to help decide what kind of male you're looking for. I know you're supposed to find a male that has qualities that work well and balance those of your female.

Thanks for your advice, it took me so long to find a Yorkie breeder for my first dog ,Pebbles. She is from Oregon and I am in Montana, so as you can see, there's is not too many breeders out here...I'm thinking of going back to Catherine Thomas, Pebbles' breeder,we stay in touch a lot, it's one of her "requirements". So back to California girl or what ever her name was, can some one tell me what was going on with her?

Take your time searching for the right breeder for you. A healthy pup is worth it.

I think going back to your first breeder would be a great idea. Since you have a relationship with her, and you know what kind of dogs she breeds, that would be a good place to start.

We're certainly not here to talk bad about other members, but many of us long time members feel that we need to speak up when something just doesn't seem right.

What is with using the same numbers in every fake zip code on her usernames? She also likes to use the word "Sheesh" with all her usernames which is another reason why I think she is a child. This username has not yet been banned so don't be surprised if she starts to use it again.
