My Baby may be prego! Please guys, don't yell at me or judge me! When I went to Texas Baby went into heat, I was not expecting her to go till October and I had a vet appt at the end of Sep to have her fixed. Monday when I got home she jumped up onto Sean my hubby who was wearing a white t-shirt and she was bleeding. I did try to keep them separated, but when I got home from work on Thursday, my daughter got home before me and let Rocky out of the cage and I get home from work and they had tied together. My daughter had no idea that they were suppose to be separated. I have talked to a guy my hubby works with who use to raise yorkies and he came over 2 nights ago and he agreed to mentor me. Thank god cause I would be so darn nervous to do this alone! If she is, I estimated her due date to be Nov 17th. I will wait about 3 more weeks and take her to the vet for a check up. |
I would be freaking out if I were you! Good luck with everything! I hope it all goes smoothly for you! |
Good luck Missy! Keep us posted! |
Don't feel bad, these things happen. I've been stressing over ZsaZsa the past month. She was in heat and I kept Windsor at my bf's house and her and Abbie at home. Well I took them all to get groomed and went to drop off Windsor afterwards and took them all in his house. ZsaZsa was having nothing to do with him (kinda snappy) so I figured she was past the point of letting him try to breed so we stayed for a while. Well of course they tied when we weren't paying attention. Don't know if it took or not but if it did she should deliver around the 20th of October. It's been a long time since I've had a litter.... love the puppy breath but I sure didn't plan on doing this and it won't happen again. Mr. Windsor has since been neutered. Sorry for rambling, just wanted you to know you're not alone on the accident side of things. |
It IS the end of Sept now...you can still have her spayed. I'm assuming you'd decided to have her spayed to begin with for a good reason--that decision doesn't have to change just because she tied with a male. Sounds like you've already made up your mind to let her be bred this time. Just wanted to let you know if you ARE truly worried about her carrying a litter as you claim to be, it is not to late for her to have the surgery and avoid the situation. :) |
is she a good size? and healthy? if so i say let her have them. |

I feed them a holistic food and they get plenty of exercise. QUOTE- It IS the end of Sept now...you can still have her spayed. I feel this would be the same as an abortion and I'm not about to abort these pups. Yorkies are my passion and I had planned in the future to getting a breeding female, I was waiting till we moved out of town, I believe what is meant to happen will happen. |
I hope everything works out for you. |
i think all will be good then IMO! when are you going to the vet? |
Missy~ Try not to worry....I know, easier said than done. It's wonderful that you have a mentor that is going to work with you through this!! Please keep us updated on how Baby is doing. :) Tammy |

Any signs that I need to look for? She went out of heat Sunday, but she still wants to hump my leg, I never knew females did this. Her nipples are still swollen |

sorry no but i seen that person tell you that you could abort but i dont see why if you have 2 good sized yorkies that are healthy! also i had read the thread about the false pregnancys after heat and thought you might want to know about that just in case you werent for sure if they really tied. I think you will be fine honestly! You have a mentor and you have YT! |

Missy, check out Debbie Jensen's site. It's really full of all kinds of information that I think you'll not only learn alot, but enjoy reading it. |

Just an unrelated side note: IMO, 'aborting' a pregancy in a dog shouldn't be viewed the same as it is with people, so I hope that didn't come across as an 'offensive' suggestion.:( |

this can better help people in helping you if you can be more specific in the tie dates, if she came from free whelpers, what sizes are the parents of the mother to be and sire. These answers can better serve you if maybe you are in need of c-section or any other kind of emergency. |
Good luck to you and I wish your furbaby a happy and safe pregnancy! |
litter Having a litter of puppies is a choice at this point..if you choose to follow through..best wishes PS..the vet could have given her an injection after the tie to prevent pregnancy. |
I'm sure everything will work out fine Missy ;) I too, believe everything happens for a reason, sometimes unbeknownst to us. |
Awww Missy! Please keep us posted on Baby....and her, BABIES lol - if there are any :p I am HAPPY for both you and her. I know you will take GREAT care of her and I know that she will be a wonderful mommy :) Can't wait to hear whether or not there are babies in the oven! :D |

You came here looking for SUPPORT - so just skim past the ones who don't offer it. You didn't asked to be judged on the matter. This is actually why ALOT of people who's babies are going to be mommy's DON'T post about it.....for fear of being judged. And it is just terrible. This is a YORKIE site for pete's sake....we should be able to share EVERYTHING about our babies without the fear of being judged. I have had several members who I know here PM me and say that one of their females is going to be a mommy - but they simply won't post about it because they don't want to be lectured on the matter. Anyway, just posting all that to say - keep your chin up girl ;) Only YOU know what's going on in your own household and that's ALL that matters ;) |
Ok, just popping in to say - I think I found the post that you guys were talking about, but....it looks like everything has been cleared up already (I hope??) :p And hopefully MY last post here won't start another debate/argument, lol. Good luck with everything Missy! And hugs to Baby! |
Missy, you know I would never judge you and I'm here to help whenever you have questions that I'm able to answer :) The Debbie Jenson site, as someone already mentioned, does have TONS of info and makes very good reading. PM me anytime you feel, I'd be happy to try and answer any question you may have! Take care! |
