but i seen that person tell you that you could abort but i dont see why if you have 2 good sized yorkies that are healthy!

also i had read the thread about the false pregnancys after heat and thought you might want to know about that just in case you werent for sure if they really tied.

I think you will be fine honestly! You have a mentor and you have YT!

I posted this so I could have the help and support from YT. I almost didn't say anything cause I know there are so many judgmental people here.

I thank you and all who have gave me there support.

I am by no means an expert...my Lexie is due with her (and my) first litter on October 20th. Going by your estimate of a due date of Nov. 17, that would make Baby only about 2 weeks along. You need to wait til at least 4 weeks or so after the first "tie" for the vet to be able to feel if there are puppies in her tummy. By that time I felt fairly certain that Lexie was pregnant, but was glad to have the vet confirm it. Now, at 6 weeks along she definitely "shows" and I am excited for when I can actually see those puppies move in her belly in another week or so. So far as what to look for.....the first couple of weeks after mating, Lexie lost her appetite a bit and had a little "morning sickness", I thought her belly seemed slightly firmer than normal and her nipples were sticking up quite a bit. Around the 4th week I strongly suspected that she was pregnant as I noticed her belly was a bit rounder and also a slight puffiness around her nipple areas. That is about the time when I was able to have the vet confirm her pregnancy. Good luck; I figure Baby's vet visit should be around mid Ocotber. Keep us posted.

Awwww puppies...I have no advice to offer lol...just wanted to say congrats even though they are unexpected puppies!!

I wasn't trying to be rude with my post to her...just informative. That is considered standard protocall IF you are worried about a prego female after an unplanned breed. I hope it isn't turned around to be anything but that. I apparently misinterpreted her post wrong--I took it that she was worried about if it would be safe for her girl to carry and was under the impression that the female was smaller than she is. If that was in fact the case, then it would be a decision worth considering, don't you think? That was what I thought I implied by "if you are worried, you can still have the spay..." I would think that she should be safe given her size--but the upcoming vet's exam will give a more clear answer there.

Just an unrelated side note: IMO, 'aborting' a pregancy in a dog shouldn't be viewed the same as it is with people, so I hope that didn't come across as an 'offensive' suggestion.:(

this can better help people in helping you if you can be more specific in the tie dates, if she came from free whelpers, what sizes are the parents of the mother to be and sire. These answers can better serve you if maybe you are in need of c-section or any other kind of emergency.

Having a litter of puppies is a choice at this point..if you choose to follow through..best wishes
PS..the vet could have given her an injection after the tie to prevent pregnancy.

I'm sure everything will work out fine Missy ;) I too, believe everything happens for a reason, sometimes unbeknownst to us.

Awww Missy! Please keep us posted on Baby....and her, BABIES lol - if there are any :p I am HAPPY for both you and her. I know you will take GREAT care of her and I know that she will be a wonderful mommy :)

Can't wait to hear whether or not there are babies in the oven! :D

I honestly don't know which post you guys are referring too (I must of missed it if someone said something to you Missy....I will have to go back and look) - but anyway, don't worry about it girl ;) People are ALWAYS going to have their opinions....but she is YOUR baby and YOU know what's best. You are a grown adult. Let them say what they will ;) :p

You came here looking for SUPPORT - so just skim past the ones who don't offer it. You didn't asked to be judged on the matter.

This is actually why ALOT of people who's babies are going to be mommy's DON'T post about it.....for fear of being judged. And it is just terrible. This is a YORKIE site for pete's sake....we should be able to share EVERYTHING about our babies without the fear of being judged. I have had several members who I know here PM me and say that one of their females is going to be a mommy - but they simply won't post about it because they don't want to be lectured on the matter.

Anyway, just posting all that to say - keep your chin up girl ;) Only YOU know what's going on in your own household and that's ALL that matters ;)

Ok, just popping in to say - I think I found the post that you guys were talking about, but....it looks like everything has been cleared up already (I hope??) :p And hopefully MY last post here won't start another debate/argument, lol.

Missy, you know I would never judge you and I'm here to help whenever you have questions that I'm able to answer :) The Debbie Jenson site, as someone already mentioned, does have TONS of info and makes very good reading.
