You might try boiling a little bit of liver in a small amount of water, and giving the pup some of the liquid. DO NOT FEED THE LIVER IT SELF, ONLY THE LIQUID. This has been used on fading puppies with a high success rate. Just supplement some out of a syringe several times a day, not as an only source of nourishment. |
I will continue to keep him in my prayers ... and you also |
I will keep your little boy in my prayers also. |
I would imagine if his tail was infected, it probably hurt and he didnt want to eat. I hope the antibiotics help and it makes him stronger and able to latch on for longer periods of time to nurse. I am so glad you found AngelBeth to help you out. Alot of times by the time the mommas actually deliver we are already wiped out from being up night after night on puppywatch and then it is no sleep afterwards especially if you have a tiny one that you are trying to save so just to find someone to watch him so you can catch up on sleep will help tremendously. Good luck and keep us posted on Yoda's progress. |
Thank you so much everyone for caring. It has been nice finally getting some sleep last night. I know what you mean. You are on puppy watch and then finally when they are here you think that you are going to get some sleep and then you find yourself checking on them every two hours making sure that everyone is okay, everyone is eating and all that jazz. I think that this is more work then I expected, but I am loving every minute of this no matter how much it does break my heart or my pocket book. I have new life in my house and they are all such lovers. Expectially Yoda. Thank you for praying for him. |

I think you should take a couple of your awesome pictures and make her a nice personal thank-you card. A cheap gift that comes from the heart, and you know a dog-lover will love it. |

Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions. |
It is now Monday morning and I'm wondering how your little man is doing. I pray to hear about a wonderful improvement and some weight gain. I'll keep checking in as this little guy is on my mind a LOT. |

I breed Yorkies and Maltese. This litter is pure Maltese, she had 1 big girl and 1 tiny boy last thursday night, after taking her to the Er for an Oxy shot, she would not progress in labor. He lost weight and now he is back up to birthweight. 2 oz. I PMed a YTer to help me learn how to tube feed since I have never attempted it. He is sucking out of a dropper now. When you come to Tucson in Dec. it should be beautiful out, so enjoy, you'll love it! |

That is wonderful about the weight gain! I do hope the tremors go away...I have never seen one do that. I am definetly looking forward to your pictures:) . My litter is doing great ... they fight and grumble and play and make us laugh. Mine are 6 weeks old now, big difference from the little newbies. Thank you so much for the update (I do keep forgetting about a time difference:p ). |
