Thank you for helping me with this. I hope this information helps. |
Sheesh, that is ALL good news. Every symptom I asked you about is bad news. Sometimes the tiny ones are underdeveloped on the inside. I will continue to check back on your little man. I pray all goes well. You are doing a fantastic job! It is a lot of work and sure makes you respect the little Mamma's a LOT more! Keep up the good work:) |
Sharon, I just wanted to say that I think you are doing a wonderful job with this little one. I know how much you love him and your love shows thru in your posts. I will continue praying for him. Hugs Sonya |

I'll tell you the truth...it sounds a lot better than I expected. The first 2 weeks will be "iffy". Three weeks will be wonderful! Keep track of the symptoms I mentioned. If he is a little lazy bones, make sure he moves around and gets stimulated. He needs lots of "pottying" help from Mama....so after you feed him, put him up near her face then lay him down in front of her if she pays attention to him. I am soooooo happy to hear that he nursed from Mamma....that is an improvement:thumbup:  . You are right, puppy kisses are the best! I'll keep checking in and praying for your little man:) |

Thank you so much for all your help. I never thought I would be in this position. Thanks |
Sharon I hate to that your worry about your little one, how much does he weigh today, if we lived closer I would take him for awhile and let Lexie nurse him since she only had the two, and they are becoming butterballs....did you get a heating pad for them...how much do they all weigh now...:) |
You are quite welcome! |

pup Do you feed him during the night? You did look at the roof of his mouth..to the end of his throat with a small pin light (cleft.).. I would take him in to the vets for tube feeding (no need to pay the vet) by a vet tech several times a day if you do not know how...or learn..best wishes |

About the cleft palate. The vet said that they were all checked for birth defects and cleft palates. All negative and healthy. I just don't understand about this little guy. He was eating a ton and not gaining any weight and now he is starting to stop eating and I am worried that he is just going to wither away to nothing when he really already is compared to the others. I will see about getting him to the vet tonight. Thanks |

I am happy to see that you have two cute little piglets. I am sure by what the mother looks like that they are going to be beautiful. Too perfect. I hope that he starts gaining. I am going to keep trying until the fat lady is singing!!! |
pup You are doing all that is possible and he is getting all he needs...some fade and it is heartbreaking, but some of the worst do a turn around..God bless him... |
