Just getting home and seeing that there aren't any babies yet.....but it does sound like she's getting close...she's probably just going to wait till the wee hrs of the morning  Still sending prayers that she has an easy, safe delivery... |
Trust me... no one could be anticipating these little ones more than I am ;) This waiting is litterally killing me. She's here just prancng around & loving all the extra attention & treats she's getting. (maybe that's the whole problem) I've taken her for walks 3 times today alone, thinking maybe a little extra excersize might get the ball rolling, & I gave her some vanilla ice cream last night, and then again this afternoon. Any one else got some ideas on how we can get this little girl to go into full blown labour a little quicker???  |
Don't force it. When the time is right, she'll go on her own. Of course, that doesn't make the waiting any easier for you.;) What day is she now? 66? |

I've been reading with deep concern. I really hope she goes into labor for you. But if she were mine...to be on the safe side with her so small I'd be at the vets having a c-section and a spay (her being 3 pounds way to small for breeding). Then I'd be more sure of saving them all. Of course, it's easy to say when you're not in the situation. Will be thinking of Lilly today this weekend.... Best Wishes Susan |
I hope everything is okay, can't wait to see those babies! Please keep us posted! |

I have also been watching with concern!! Hope all is okay. I will be praying for a safe easy delivery. Maybe Lilly just thought they weren't baked enough yet!!:D :D :D |
Prayers coming everyday for a safe delivery. |
I do understand everyones concearn, & I too hope everything goes ok. The vet doesn't seem to be worried & thinks she'll deliver just fine. I noticed several people keep mentioning that she's just 3 lbs, but actually she was closer to 4 lbs than 3. Exactly 3 lbs 11.5 oz a few weeks before she got pregnant... so maybe even a little more than that. Still small I know, but not a fragile small by any means. She's got more attitude than any of the bigger guys, and is actually more active & healthier than any Yorkies the vet has seen in years. This little dog can jump the nearly 3 feet up to my bed with ease (has steps but never uses them to go up, just down). I am excited & relieved to announce we are almost there. She threw up late lastnight. Not much, but with hair mixed in. She's cleaned her rear end pretty much bald now. I weighed her this morning because I noticed she is losing fluids... she's dropped from 5 lbs 11.5+ ounces to 5 lbs 7 oz. Her tummy doesn't even barely feel pregnant anymore things have tightened up so much. Her temp is finally dropping again and it's now sitting at 98.5. So it does in fact look like today/tonight will be the day:thumbup: Wish us luck... & I will of course keep everyone updated as we go & as I can. Thanks to everyone for being so supportive in all this, I really do love this group!!! :) |
More good signs we are close.... she will not touch food at all this morning, and she is starting to shiver like she's cold, yet she feels clammy & kind of sweaty! |
When mine shiver , it's time. :) |
