September Babies Well, looks like Kandy and Ceeby are going to make me grandma again. i don't know if you all remember their first litter or not but each puppy was just awesome. i know it's a long time off but i am already excited. We skipped her last heat so I have been waiting awhile to make that special cross again. I will be getting an ultrasound in about five weeks. |
yea!!! congrats |
Congratulations! Congrats grandma...!! My Jasmine will probably be making me a grandma again at the end of September... ;) |
Congratulations! I too may have a litter due around the 5th of Sept. Dam is both championed sired and dam and the sire is championed sired. I think it will make a nice match - hoping for great color and silk as well as meeting the standard. Just have to wait and see. I have been showing my dam and she has won most of the time in younger classes - 12 - 18 months and in puppy class over the last several years. We are just now showing her in Open class. The sire of this hopeful litter - I could have shown, but at the time when he was ready I was sooo busy and no time. But he is beautiful! This will be his last litter. :) T. |

congratulations to both of you. I will look forward to hearing more about your upcoming babies. Those are my favorite threads!!! :p |
Congrats for your sep puppies. I know how excited one gets when one's girl is expecting. I want to breed with Rubi again for the fourth and last time time. But she's quite long to come into season (she has her heats every 9-10 months). This time I want to hang on to one of her lil ones. But that's quite a lot of time away yet. Her next heat is not due till next Nov. I'll keep you posted. :dogwalk: Rubi |
Update!! kandy had her ultrasound this morning. She and Ceeby are having three little babies. I can't wait. I am glad tho that her litter is smaller this time. Not as much work as her previouss five puppy litters. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy i will get to rest a little. This will be my last litter until late next summer or fall. She is already getting a belly . |
Yaaaaayyyy!!!! congrats... :p |
It'll be interesting to see how many we have in Sept. as it has been a busy summer. |
Kandy has had five each of her other litters. so three was a surprise. I am glad for her because it is so hot here. 102 today. of course, they are in air conditioning but they have to go out a few times a day just for a few minutes. |
Congrats... to all who are expecting Sept. Babies....;) |

What a cute belly! I love the little modesty flower on there! :p |
Congrats and good luck! Wish you the best, still waiting for our girl to go into labor. Hopefully soon!!! |

Easy had her pups today! Well, we now have 4 new babies! :D 3 boys and 1 girl. They are all beautiful - nice thick shiny coats and soooo cute. All went well. She started around 3AM scratching the pillows in bed with us, spo went went in the liveing room so hubby could sleep. First pup didn't a[[ear until 3:43 PM. I was starting to get a bit worried. But she did great. I gave her some vanilla ice cream during labor and chicken noodle soup right after (as someone recommended) and she looks so much better this time. Well, just wanted to let you all know. T. |

2 Attachment(s) Thank you both so much. Yes, I am doing well too, just a bit sore from sitting on the floor. I need to invent a different whelping bed that is higher up. LOL :D The babies are so cute - fat and sassy!:p I am so glad the breeding worked. My older male (the sire) is champion sired and his lines are Fairytales, Clarkwyn, and Jentres. I was so glad not to loose his lines. They should have great silky coats, color, and soundness. The puppies grandparents were gorgeous too. I will be keeping my fingers crossed, for some very nice pups and maybe a show hopeful. Here are some photos of some other pups my male has sired. T. |

I just got through taking pictures. I will place them in the nursery in a few minutes. They are not fancy, but at least you can see. I had pillows and a blancket down and was on a rug. Still my muscles ache today. They weigh from 3 oz. smaller male, 4 oz. for the other two males, and 5 oz. for the one female - today. :D T. |

Use to do that, and found that by raising the grate on the puppy play pen I didn't have to bend as far. Another fellow exhibitor actually places a huge comforter on her bed and whelps there. |
Mary, I thought about the whelping the litter on my own bed, but hubby didn't like the idea. Don't know why - we have 4 sleeping with us everynight now. I have a whelping bed (plactic square bed about 2 ft each side long and about 6 inches high) which sits on a roller frame. I love it. Great for raising a litter. Easy to clean. Room for mom and smaller bed to go in and still room around for mom to get out and relax and room for pee pad for mom. I just wish it was higher. I need to have my husband make a frame that it can fit in that is waist high. He is really good with woodworking, so I know he can do it. :D T. Photos are up in Nursery section. :D |
