This is horrible . I am sorry for your loss . Kimberley , you are in my thoughts and prayers . :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown for this vet . |
If you said you saw the after birth come out with the pup I have no idea why he would start pulling stuff out like that.:thumbdown . If the oxi worked the after birth would come out with the next pup if it was still in there. If it didn't work and there were no contractions my vet would have done a c-sec and gotten the pup. One time the pup was right there almost out but mom just couldn't get her out. The sac was off and it was do or die so she had to really dig around with her fingers to get a hold of the pup. she could feel what she was doing with her fingers and the pup made it. It's one thing if the pups is almost out. We could see the feet and feel the sac was gone. The pup would have drown if it get out right then and there. A c-sec followed for the other pups. It's another if the pup is still in the sac and waiting to be born. You don't just go in with a tool and start pulling stuff out. what in the heck???? |
Oh girl! I'm so sorry this happened. That vet doesn't realize that he not only hurt you and London, HE HURT US ALL! My prayers are definitely with you and "YOU GO, GIRL!"... Don't let him get away with it! |
What a horrible experience for both of you. How sad to lose that baby girl. I know nothing about bredding and delivery but how you explained it certainly sounds like a real possiblilty. I hope London and her pup are doing well. Poor mommy and what she went though. That vet sounds like he was avoiding your questions. |
I am so sorry. :( |
I am really sorry that you had to experience such horror. The vet should have done an ultrasound/xray. I cannot believe he did this. That is just horrible. Keep a close eye on your girl, sometimes they will get an infection when something like this has happened. You need to find a vet who will work with you and who knows when your dogs are due and will do xrays/ultrasounds so you have an idea how many pups your dog is expecting. If your vet does not do 24 hours then make sure you have a vet that will release the xrays to you so you can take them with you when you have to see another vet on emergency situation so they have an idea what you are expecting, even thou most cases they will order more xrays. Again I am really sorry for your loss. I have never experienced a vet pulling out the placenta/ripping it from a live puppy causing it death. :( Sending prayers for London and her lil boy Hugs, Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
