| Sounds like a pretty bad experience. Are you going to keep the dog or sell it? Is it something that your vet can fix or is it life threatening? You didnt say who the breeder was so it is hard to beware of them. Sorry for your bad experience. I hope the puppy gets to feeling better. |

| Yorkieforever: There is nothing wrong with the puppy, my son is severly allergic to the dog, my son's eyes are extremely swollen. My son will stay with family member until I can get the pup sold. The pup comes from goods lines, and is CKC registered, the allergic reaction has come as a surprise, as we has a ragdoll cat; wehave that cat for 5 years, and there was never a problem with any sort of allergies. To all the parents who want to purchase a pup from a breeder check your child for allergies first, and most of all cross reference the breeder with other breeders in your area. | Hello red98vett: Great question, it is not the breeder fault that my son is allergic to the pup, we received the pup on May 18, we expressed to the breeder a week later of the situation. Yesterday meant that we have had the pup for 14 days thus far, he is happy pup, house trained. to not give a refund, or even partial refund is not right, also within Canada the CKC guidelines for CKC members, is that you cannot sell a dog, that is not microchipped or tatooed. Most individuals who get into the breeding business, mostly do it for the love of the breed, but then when a situation arises as it has done in this case, is it the love of breed or the love of money. I am positive that I will get the pup sold, for exactly what paid for the pup Thanks for your response Tulip Last edited by Tulip; 06-02-2007 at 04:44 AM. |

| Hello KK: After reviewing your response, you have a point, but the more I spoke with her about the situation, the more her explanations seemed baseless. The breeder would have taken back the pup to resell him, including the contract which was never signed. Then I express to her that it would have taken time to resell the pup, then she said any pup. At this point all trust was lost; especially since I have found out that any member of the CKC cannot sell a pup without a microchip. You absolutely correct, I will get the pup the sold, my title for this thread is correct buyer be aware. I spoke with another breeder yesterday, and she informed had she known I was going to purchase a pup for from this particular individual, she would have told me not to. I have no regrets about purchasing the pup, he's a fantastic pup, the onus is on me to make sure that pups welfare comes first. Tulip |
