Wow! I am LOVING this post!!!:D I have several thoughts: For a reputable breeder living by herself and treating the animals correctly, I do understand someone not wanting to come to her house. When we were placing Rosie's puppies, we did not list our home phone number so that someone could look it up, and I only allowed people to come see them when my husband (who can appear large and scary, ha ha!) was home so they would see what they would have to deal with. AND... I always put it in the contract that I would make one home visit 4 - 6 weeks after the puppy was placed.

BUT. This woman sounds loony! Is anyone for sure that she is actually reputable? Is the puppy even REAL? Or could this be an adoption scam?

I live in MI also but would be all OVER this! As would my husband. Personally, if someone wants this baby rescued and has the $350 to do it - I don't see it as supporting her, I see it as saving the puppy. Because right after that, the woman gets reported. But how will anyone find out where she is if someone doesn't at least meet her first?? On the bright side, she does not appear to be abused or mistreated/undernourished. Small? Yes. She is being held in the crook of an arm. I don't think the entire story is being given and I would put a donation towards anyone willing to take some action on this..

No, I'm not sure if she is actually reputable. I posted to see if anyone here has had any experience with her, but I didn't get any replies yet. She's not willing to let me buy the dog since I'm not local. I started getting annoyed with her emails, and this was the last correspondence I had with her:

You don't sound mean, you sound truthful! I didn't think my email to her was that bad, even though I was asking her not to contact me anymore. Where does she get that I'm angry and lonely?:D

And, she doesn't know that I already have a little yorkie that I LOVE!!!!!!!!;)

I have been meaning to find the time to read this whole thread...and wow...I am shocked by this womans ignorance!! I hope there is a resolution to this and will follow this thread intensly now...good luck ladies...I hope you find out who she is and where she lives and have her investigated!!

Is she from NJ or PA? I saw a thread saying she is from NJ but if you check her cell number the location is Bethlehem, PA. I wasnt sure if anyone already checked on this and it got me wondering which is it.

So I didn't meet her; don't yell at me yet....

I called her; her person already took the poodle supposedly. She is catching on that it is my voice though I think; don't really care though. Her number is a PA number...however she lives on the border to PA which is Phillipsburg. I got tired of calling and hearing the way she talks to the dogs...while trying to sell them. And the way she words her emails...like these dogs are mearly cash to her. So I reported her myself to the Warren County SPCA. I don't know what they will do. But I called her in with her "Top Shelf Puppy" name and then told them the story. I explained I don't have an address because she only wants to meet up in strange locations...and won't even tell me her car. So They said that they can track the name and then get in touch. I told them the first name and the website that her dogs are on...they were VERY nice and said they will be taking it under investigation. SOOOO I guess thats where it lies. I am a Criminal Justice major..the last thing I wanted to do was to stalk her back to her house and get caught following her then not be able to get a job in the near future( next january =) ) So I figured reporting her is the best bet. I will check back with her in a few weeks to see if she has any more puppies:rolleyes: Just to see if she got shut down or not. This woman was a trip and I am glad for all the ideas to help!!! It just really bothered me the way she spoke to me...and her dogs. VERY unprofessional. And seems to have fallen off her rocker.:D

I'm glad you reported her! Good for you!! If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I didn't have time to call her today, but maybe I will put it off until next week since you reported her. I am only concerned about the dogs, I just have a feeling she doesn't treat them very well. The way she spoke to you was the same way she spoke in the emails she sent me. She seems pretty unstable to me. And, you said she yells at the dogs and she even hit one.:eek: I think you did the right thing by reporting her. I wasn't a fan of stalking her or anything like that. I just want to make sure those dogs are okay. I can't stand for animals to be mistreated, there is no reason for it!!!

Yes, call them! I'd keep calling and calling until they do something! It's too hot and she's not even making sure they have enough food and water.:mad:

All I can say is OMG...Just finished reading this thread, I really do wish I was there, local in NJ...I have a fenced in yard, I would have bought that dog in a minute, just to rescue her. I sure hope this all works out for the best, and ALL of the dogs are taken care of. Please, keep this thread alive, I think we owe it to ourselves to know what's happening there. I can not believe there is nobody on here within driving distance that has a fenced in yard, willing to rescue her. You don't have to keep her, if it's not what you want, there are people on here willing to buy her, to give her a loving home and a life worth living. I pray for that poor little thing...

I live in NJ. I gave the woman a call last night to inquire about Brandy. I told her that both hubby (Retired NYPD) and myself are both home for the most part and that we have a large house with a fenced yard and exceptional vet and personal references. Everything was going well up until the part about other dogs. I told her that we have Yorkies and that we are Yorkie lovers and that mine are all spayed and that I do not breed. I can't say anything bad about her, as she was very nice with me. She explained that Brandy was alpha and that it would not work with other pets. Submissive dogs would be alright I think but she is right if you have two apha dogs in the same house it can cause a big problem. Honestly, I wasn't interested in Brandy for myself, but after reading all the posts thought maybe I could take her and find her a better situation. She will not consider ANYONE with other dogs or pets or small children. No exceptions. I hope it works out for Brandy. Elaine

P.S. Somethinig said that did bother me though, was when I said "Brandy is beautiful." She replied "I KNOW and I'm so upset that I cannot get her pregnant." That bothered me alot. She seems to be trying to locate her somewhere where she'll be happy but she is a business and it is all about the $$. I mentioned to her that Brandy seemed small to breed and she said she's perfect size just a bit over 6lbs. Prob. should be about 5 or 51/2. Again I hope it works out for Brandy. Elaine

Well at least you tried, thank you for that...I probably would have hidden Winston and his things and yes, I would have told a white lie, I think God would understand...I would have told her I did have a yorkie...but not now...and I'd love to have another...also I really don't have any kids...so no lie there...I still hope somebody will come thru on this, tell her exactly what she wants to hear...and get Brandy out of there. I too would not be able to keep her...but I know I'd find someone who could and would love her dearly.

What doesn't make sense is that Brandy is now at her house with lots and lots of other dogs, so why is it a problem to place her in a home with other yorkies? I just think this woman is mad because she can't breed Brandy, so she doesn't want anyone else to either. I don't know why she doesn't just get her spayed and then sell her.

Maybe Brandy has proven troublesome with other dogs and the owner is looking out for everyone's best. It's not uncommon to rehome a brood bitch if she turns out unbreedable. The best a breeder can do is find her a home where she will be happy. Maybe she just needs to be the only princess.

Yes, this was my thought Tami. I know others here had trouble with this woman, but honestly I can't say that I had any trouble. She seemed concerned in finding Brandy the right home. I can't speak for her breeding practices or whether she is a small puppymill or back yard breeder or how she treats her dogs per say, just our conversation about Brandy. She seemed to want to be sure that wherever she lands that it will work out and be permanant where Brandy will be happy. That was my conversation with her. Again I can't speak about the conversations others have had with her as I wasn't privy. I hope it works out well and Brandy finds a loving forever home. Elaine

Guys, I am still interested in her if someone locally could get her from the lady. I assure you all that you will have forever pics of her and my Aunt would spoil her rotten, Brandy would think she had died and gone to heaven if she lived with my aunt. Jenni...This is exactly what I was saying...all we need is one person, close enough, that has a fenced in yard...to tell her they want her, will love her and take care of her...don't tell her you already have yorkies, we know she won't allow that, God will understand, if you have to tell a lie. No skinbabies would be best, but I would lie about that too...if only I lived closer, darn it!!! With enough help I just know we can get her to you. Anybody willing to jump in? For Brandy's sake? Maybe somebody here knows someone there that can pull this off...I will continue to hope and pray someone will come forward with an answer to our prayers. Keep the faith!!!

Please someone, anyone! Somebody has to know someone that lives close enough to her that has a fenced in yard. If they have dogs and kids thats finr, just hide them while the lady is there. Please.......YT we can save Brandy. Pm me if any one is willing to try or knows a friend or family member that will.

Wow! I just read this thread and WOW! What a ride!

She looks sooooo Tiny in those pictures! And I don't care what they say..... anyone that dosent want you in their home has something to hide! Even if its as simple as their awful house keeping, they're hiding something!


I pray that she finds a good home and that a full investigation is done. It sounds like this gal may have way too many breeds to be giving any of them their required attention. A single litter of puppies is soooo much work! Let alone multiple litters of different breeds! :eek: Yikes!
