William's Cattery & Kennel Has anyone heard of them or have experience with this particular kennel? A lady that had puchased a female maltese from me a few years back...recently purchased a yorkie from his particular kennel...and I had mention to her that I am looking for a male yorkie also so she gave me a link to their website...and I just wanted to find any info I can on them to see if they are in fact a good kennel or a puppymill. http://www.rwilliamspuppy.com/ Any help will be greatly appreciated...thanks! |
I don't have any knowledge of these people, but, it's not a place I would consider buying a puppy from. It just doesn't appear they are giving any thought to breeding to better the breed, just a business for them. This is just my opinion from what I read. |
They are about 1 1/2 hrs. East of me and this is the first I've heard of them. I would be concerned buying from them. They wean their puppies at 6 weeks and they said they let their puppies go at 8 weeks old. Smaller ones go at 10 to 12 weeks. They don't have pictures of their puppies that are for sale and the ones that they DO have on the site are not very impressive. Their ears are huge and not shaved, which makes me wonder how much time they put into them. Plus, they only guarantee their puppies for 14 days!! 1 yr. for congenital defects and that is only if you take the puppy to the vet, at your expense, within the first 72 hrs. I would be very, very leary. |
i dont like the fact that they bring the puppies into thier house at 6 or 7 weeks of age to get use to people?? that just seem wrong to me, the puppies should be in the house from the time they are born. i have a bad feeling about this place. |

Red Flags!!!! USDA license is a definite red flag! They are most likely millers and only because they show a picture of a clean kennel doesn't make them good breeders! I agree with previous posts. The dogs shown on their website are not impressive and their ears are huge. They look like bat babies. I also don't care for that weird look in their faces, not a happy disposition in my opinion. Not showing pictures of the puppies and not listing their current weight is not desirable! The health guarantee is a joke! I would not buy from them! Many people on here had to search high and low for the prefect puppy and breeder and many had to travel a great distance for their new bundle of joy. |

I forgot to add that they are releasing the dogs way too soon! They also feed low quality food and the whole place and website gives me the creeps!!!!!! |

Well it looks like they keep all their animals in cages. So right there, I would never purchase from them. I think it is evil and cruel to cage any animal their whole lives! I would only purchase from a breeder who only bred on a small scale and let all her dogs have run of the house and were members of the family. thats the only way to go for me. |

Wow - went to the website - saw those awful looking kennels and it reminded me of a mill so much:( ...no one needs that many dogs :( |

I looked at their site, noticed a lot of spelling errors, which sends up a red flag for me. Not to mention the amount of puppies and the look of the buildings :(. |

Don't give up! There are lots of good, reputible breeders in your area! ;) |
thanks... |

But to me there are loads of cages, and im just thinking that if any of my girls had puppies, and they were shoved in 1 of those kennels, it would break my heart. |

i have seen this thread but never look at this person's website. hard to say...usda usually means they have lots lots lots of dogs. if it is just the two of them taking care of the dogs/cats. that is alot of work. also, the puppies they have for sale, they don't show pictures of them. maybe they are too busy to take photos. just my opinion, i could not say if i would purchase one or not. some have champion lines??? they are akc certified. no photos of the dams and sires hummmmmm i just couldn't say |
do they have the pedigreeds to show you? Are the pups healthy? Will they let you take the pup to your own vet for a check-up and the option to return if not healthy? |
I don't see any on their website...so I couldn't answer your question... out of curiousity...would you happen to be Buddhist...because most people don't believe in Reincarnation...kekek...you don't have to answer me...I am just curious.. |

Count the number of small cages and thats just in 1 building! Way to many animals to give them 1 on 1 care and attention unless they have a huge staff. I don't see any exercise area except for one 6 x 12 looking kennel. Showing pictures of a set up like that does not impress me, it gives me the creeps! The pictures say mill to me all day long. Mabey a nice mill , but still a huge operation. Nobody need to own that many animals unless they are going for the big bucks. The pictures that they do have of their yorkies don't seem of quality to me. JMO |
If you have any reservations, please don't buy!! I feel not having puppies in the house until they are weeks old is abuse. I have all puppies in the house and socialization starts the day they are born. I let the puppies be loved and fed by their mother, but also loved by us, too. Please report this "breeder" to the authorities. |
i didn't buy from them...their images scared me off...keke.... however i did finally get me a male yorkie....he is such a cutie...i guess good things come to those who wait... in my case i been searching for a over a year...keke |
