| Stay away.... Breeder in WACO, TX Just a quick warning thread. TexasYorkies05 or K_nicholson78@yahoo.com is a breeder that you want to STAY AWAY FROM!! She is out of Waco, TX. As far as I know, she doesn't have a kennel/breeder name. She repeadly said that her dogs were "ACK" certified.... She said that she had a 2 year old female and a 3 year old male that she breeds, yet she has been breeding for "over 2 years". Apparently they are completly DNA tested too... hmmmm.... Anyway, when I questioned her math she got defensive and said "like i can remember exctally when i started and im not lying i was not brought up to lie thank u" (We were discussion terms online, that was directly copied and pasted) So, I politely told her that I wouldn't be purchasing her little girl and her response was "Your loss not mine" Anyway... just stay away. Backyard Breeders freak me out, and this was definatly one wanting nothing but money!! |

| Also, the parents she emailed me pictures of were beautiful... just a thought that they may not be hers... here are the pictures attached, just incase she lifted them of someones website!! Also, the 13 week old is 4 lbs already and she assured me that she wouldn't get over 5 because the parents were only 5... even I know that parent's size doesn't always determine puppy size... And her name is Kristy Nicholson. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | It is kind of funny how the first two pictures she sent you are very "nice", clear, big pictures, yet the one of the puppy she has available is not so great (dark, small). If she got such GREAT pictures of the first two, why not get an excellent picture of the puppy that she is trying to sell? Defninitely makes ya wonder Good for you for staying away

| Haha yes, and its not easy. I am DYING to get a puppy here and it seems like everywhere I turn there is another psycho or scammer "selling" puppies. I am quite convinced now, after talking to her more (for mear amusement) that she doesn't even have puppies at all.... so werid! |

| Aww... thanks so much!! I have gotten referalls from people here, and have contacted them. Some were really far away, or out of state (I don't want to ship them) and some didn't have puppies now, or wouldn't for months. Although now, i bet they do I see you are in South Texas... where did you get yours from? If you would rather PM the name of your breeder to me thats fine Well that is, if you don't mind sharing! |

| I don't know anything about this breeder so I am not going to address that. i wanted to tell you tho that it is possible for a 'young" breeder to have older females. I have only been breeding two years and out of my four females, only one is a puppy I raised. The other three were bought as adults already to kind of kick start my program. My girls are now four years old. Please understand, I am not taking up for this breeder because I have never even heard of her. Did you ask her if she bought her mama as an adult already? That would explain your first question about her. |

| well i have to say i have two breeding girls and one male who are dna tested. so there shouldn't be any shock there. many of us here on yorkie talk do only have 2-3 litters a year and hate being referred to as "BYB". it took me two years to find my breeding girls and my boy to make sure i had a good breeding stock. i have learned from the best (the breeders here on yorkie-talk). just because i don't have a kennel name, please don't refer us as "byb's". anyway.....it does take a long time to find that perfect little baby and from a breeder you trust. i have adopted yorkies in the past that was the worst of the breed. i have been lied to and so forth. just keep looking many people here on yt have wonderful examples of the breed. after purchasing my two that were such a bad breed, it took me two years to find my babies. i know it is very frustrating but it will happen good luck to you in your search

Oh, please don't read that wrong, I wasn't in any way saying that people without a kennel name were all BYB's, I was just saying for reference that she didn't have one

I went to bed after arguing with her a bit, I completly low balled her an offer of $400 (she was asking 600 and appartenly started at 1000) I just felt so bad for the baby! Anyway, things got more fishy, so i just went to bed. This morning there are more IMs saying that she found another buyer, ect, then the last IM was her saying I could take the puppy for 300! Yikes! If I wasn't afraid of having to put in thousands in vet bills or not getting a puppy at all, I might just do it for the puppy. However, alas, I am still puppy-less and searching for my new baby!

| You shouldn't buy a puppy from someone you don't trust. But if those beautiful dogs are hers, I am awfully surprised that she would would be selling a puppy from them for $300. They are both gorgeous and very well groomed. It is not a very clear photo of the puppy but it doesn't look the same quality as the adults. I would also be surprised if a puppy that weighs 4 lbs now stays at 5 lbs as an adult. My Yorkie weighed 13 oz at 9 weeks and is now over 5 lbs. Good luck on your search. I highly recommend that you make at least one and preferably more visits to the home of any breeder that you are considering before purchase. If I were to be purchasing again, I would look for a small show breeder. Try onofrio.com for dog shows in your area and go and talk to the breeders there. |

| Did you ask her about pedigrees? Does she know what lines her dogs are out of? It's interesting all of a sudden her first post is declaring she's not a liar but still not giving any information about her breeding program.... Please hang in there, go to shows, talk to people. There are some very reputable breeders here in Texas, but, yes, there are a lot of the "others" also. Glad you being cautious. You can never be too careful.. Good luck in your search. All good things come to those who wait and are patient.
